In Bloom

We are back to crocheting smaller clues! This time each square has a sweet Potentilla flower, surrounded by a lovely edge of easy stitches.

Colors

We are going to work 5 rounds in diagram A.6 with the following colors:

CAST ON + ROUND 1: heather
ROUND 2: lilac
ROUND 3: light lilac
ROUNDS 4-5: white

COLOR TIPS:
Are you using a different color combination than the one we are crocheting with? Make a small note of which color number replaces which before starting, by seeing the original materials here.

CROCHET INFO:
Information written between two * is to be repeated every time there is *-* in the text.
The red symbols in the diagrams are described in the text over the pictures.

Ready to begin?

CAST ON:
Work 4 chain stitches with heather, form them to a ring with 1 slip stitch in the first chain stitch.

ROUND 1:
Work 1 chain stitch, 6 single crochets around the chain-stitch ring.

Finish with 1 slip stitch in the first single crochet on the round, at the same time as you change to lilac, cut the heather strand. Read COLOR CHANGE TIP below.

Work * 3 chain stitches, work «3 DOUBLE CROCHETS TOGETHER» as follows: Work 2 double crochets in the next stitch, but wait with the last yarn over and pull through on both of these double crochets, work 1 double crochet in the same stitch and pull the last yarn over through all 4 loops on the hook *, repeat *-* 5 times in total, 3 chain stitches (= 6 double crochet groups and 6 chain-spaces).

Finish with 1 slip stitch in the 3rd chain stitch at the beginning of the round, at the same time as you change to light lilac, cut the lilac strand.

ROUND 3:
Work 1 chain stitch.

Work 4 single crochets around every chain-space all along the round (= 24 single crochets).

Finish with 1 slip stitch in the first single crochet at the beginning of the round, at the same time as you change to white, cut the light lilac strand.

ROUND 4:
Work 3 chain stitches (= First double crochet).

Work 5 chain stitches, skip 2 stitches, 1 double crochet in the next stitch, 2 chain stitches, finish with 1 slip stitch in the 3rd chain stitch at the beginning of the round.

ROUND 5:
