Pattern 110-3

front piece: When piece measures 22-23-24-25-27 cm [8¾”-9”-9½”-9¾”-10 5/8”] slip the middle 15-17-17-19-19 sts on a stitch holder for neck and complete each shoulder separately.

Back piece: .... When rib measures 4 cm [1½’’] change to needle size 5 mm [US 8] and continue in stockinette st, at the same time dec 20-23-26-26-32-37 sts evenly on first row = 74-81-88-98-107-117 sts.

Now work next round including thumb as follows: 1 st in each of the first 18-20-21 sts, 1 st in each dc round the thumb and then
1 st in each of next 0-1-2 sts, M.1 on the next 9 sts, 1 st in each of next 0-1-2 sts, M.1 on the next 9 sts and 1 st in each of the last 0-0-1 sts on round = 48-54-60 dc on round.

This section is changed but actually the only change is from 22 cm [8 3/4’’] to 12 cm [4 3/4’’] when dividing for armholes:

Continue in stockinette st and stripes – see above.
Read the following section before knitting:
When piece measures 12 cm [4 3/4’’] divide the piece to create holes for arms as follows: Slip sts from beg of round to MT-1 on a stitch holder, leave sts between MT-1 and MT-3 on needle and slip remaining sts on the same stitch holder. Continue back and forth on sts on needle as before. Note! Remember stripes.
At the same time when piece measures 14-14-11-12-12-14 cm [5½”-5½”-4 3/8”-4¾”-4¾”-5½”] beg dec 1 st on both sides of each MT (= 12 dec per round) – see Decreasing tip – on every 10 round a total of 5-5-6-6-6-6 times, then on every 4 round 10-11-11-12-13-13 times.
When piece measues 17-17-18-18-19-19 cm [6¾”-6¾”-7”-7”-7½”-7½”] from dividing the piece, slip sts on needle on another stitch holder.

When piece measures 5 cm [2”] inc 1 st on each side of st with marker on every 3rd round a total of 6-7 times = 56-66 sts – incorporate the inc sts in M.3 as you go along.

SOCK: ... When piece measures 29-32 cm = 11 3/8" - 12 1/2" beg dec at the back: K tog the 2 sts after M.4 and K tog the 2 sts before M.4 into back of loop on every 4th round a total of 14-16 times (dec in M.3) = 48-54 sts.
