Clue #5 - Finishing touches

Our Christmas jumper now has a neck, yoke, body and sleeves. Time to give it all the finishing touches!

Should we fold the neck?

The neck (in the women’s and men’s jumper) can be folded double or kept as a high neck. If you want a double neck, fold it double to the inside and sew down. To avoid the neck being tight and rolling outwards, it is important that the seam is elastic (see video on the list at the bottom of this clue on how to assemble elastically).

KNOT:

You make a knot at the top of each hat / each Christmas tree. The knot is tied around 1 stitch. Cut 2 strands off-white (hat) /yellow (tree), each 10 cm = 4" long. Put the strands together and thread them through the top off-white /yellow stitch on each hat /tree, with both ends ending up on the right side, on each side of the stitch. Tie a knot, then another knot in the opposite direction – see sketch. Cut the strands leaving ends of ½ cm = 1/8” (hat) / 1 cm = 3/8" (tree).
