O vídeo mostra 2 técnicas de montar malhas ou pontos num dos lados de uma peça como, por exemplo, quando se tricota a frente e a manga numa só peça e é preciso montar as malhas ou pontos de cada lado para as mangas.
Usa-se, primeiro, a técnica das argolas, ou « montagem com o polegar » que é a mais fácil. Esta técnica cria uma orla larga que é perfeitamente conveniente se temos de a costurar, depois, como, por exemplo, para uma manga.
A técnica seguinte é a chamada montagem com 2 agulhas, que é a melhor técnica se deseja obter uma bonita orla firme.
