I'm a crocheter of over 50 years, i consider myself to be an experienced crocheter, this pattern however is soooo confusing. at NO stage do you cover the dc sequence, I understand the size differences, but please, show that sequence in at least one size, personally don't care which, I can extrapolate it to the size i want, but at least show it, this is very badly written, and NO the written instruction Do not cover it past the second row, and there is more to that section than written.

I am stuck at a transition in row two. After you have completed A3, A2 once it asks that you do these two again. I cannot see how to proceed after the last five chains from A2 back to the second repeat of A 1. The video does not appear to show this transition.

DROPS Design answered:

Dear Marcia, from wrong side you will read diagrams from the left towards the right, so work on 2nd row work: A.3 (=5 chains), A.2 (= 5 dc (US-English) in the next ch-space, 5 ch, 1 sl st in the top of the 3 dc tog from previous row, 5 ch), - repeat A.2 in width if necessary - and finish with A.1 (5 dc around the next ch-space, 5 ch, 1 sl st in the top of the 2 dc tog frm previous row). Happy crocheting!

I understand row 1 and 2, but there is no instruction for row 3 or 4. What do I do over the band of 11dc? Your video only shows working over 6dc.

10.11.2021 - 21:13

DROPS Design answered:

Dear Mrs Neighorn, just work the 6 dc as before with 6 dc (on first row in A.z replace the first and last dc with 3 ch like this: 3 ch, skip 1 dc, 1 dc in the next 4 dc, skip 1 dc, 3 ch and continue as before. Video shows how to crochet diagrams with 4 dc in between (as in size S). Happy crocheting!

Confused with SLEEVES! Made 45 cm of the back peace. Cut the yarn. Chained 29 sts and worked A3-A1 +4 dc along those chains. What next?? Your Notes says: dc over back peace as before.... Where exactly to crochet that dc??? Is that 29sts chain going to be connected to the back peace? Is there a chance to see a video for this part?? Or have more detailed explanation please!

28.10.2020 - 15:19

DROPS Design answered:

Dear Svetlana, the 29 chains on one side = at the beg of the row is for one sleeve and the 31 chains on the other side = at the end of the same row is for the other sleeve. This means the both chains are connected on same row you are working them: crochet 29 chains, then work as before from WS over the stitches on back piece: A.3, A.2 and A.1 and with dc over dc from previous row, then work with dc on each side and diagrams as explained on next paragraph. Happy crocheting!

WOW....as a 40+ yr crocheter I have read, and altered hundreds of patterns but this one stumps even me. I.E., it shows in the video working in rows but then talks about working vertical. And reading the reviews above, I am not the only one thoroughly confused. As gorgeous as this is, I am going to pass.

I think you still should have put some kind of note or indicator to add the number of double crochets since it’s part of the pattern. Regarding the sleeves, I think you mean that you should attach the yarn to the wrong side and then chain 29 and then work the pattern and at the end of the first row , chain 31, turn and continue. Your instructions or the English translation of them is very hard to understand and follow. Sorry but I haven given up on this project.

Why doesn’t the diagram show the 9 double crochets? I finished the entire back not realizing that I was supposed to repeat that sequence.i thought it was a detail in the first row only😠. I am also lost when trying to do the sleeves. I don’t understand the instructions at all. Is there a video tutorial for the sleeve part? Help please!

22.06.2019 - 08:33

DROPS Design answered:

Dear Mrs Taniguchi, the number of double crochets is not the same in all sizes, that's why diagram doesn't show them - Remember to always follow the written pattern at the same time. Before crocheting sleeve you have to cut the yarn, then crochet 29 chains, work next row in pattern as before, and finish row with 31 chains (= 29 chains as on first sleeve + 2 chains to turn with), and work row 1 A.1-A.3 over the chain stitches, and next row as before over the middle sts. Happy crocheting!

I'm left-handed and usually manage crochet patterns quite well but I'm finding this rather difficult! Any help?

18.10.2018 - 17:45

DROPS Design answered:

Dear Mrs Malin, our diagrams are read from RS from the right towards the left and from WS from the left towards the right. When working 1st row in A.z (= from WS) you will replace the first and the last tr with 3 ch as follows: work A.3, A.2, then A.1, 3 ch (replace 1 tr), 1 tr in each of the next 2-4-7-11-4-9 tr, 3 ch (replace 1 tr) , 1 dc in next st (over the 4-6-9-13-6-11tr), A.3, A.2 and A.1. Happy crocheting!

Bonjour !

I am so confused. I have done the row one, done rown two now working on row three. I get to where I have 7 double crochets not sure what to do next. So i have 9 on one row next row 7 what do I need to do on the next row. The problems with confusion is when one come to the section of the stripe. There is no diagram.

02.04.2017 - 21:31

DROPS Design answered:

Dear Kathryn, you should have 9 tr on row 3 (= row 2 in A.z). Happy crocheting!

When you do the 9 dc, the on the second row it calls for 7 dc but does not explain on what you do with the extra 2 dc, it doesn't show this in the diagram. The video scrambles on me and I can not view it. I read patterns all the time but this one has thrown me so. The diagram is easy to read.

08.03.2017 - 19:34

DROPS Design answered:

Dear Mrs Terronez, on 1st row in A.z (= 2nd row from the bottom of diagram), you will crochet over the 9 dc: 3 ch (= replace 1tr), 7 dc, and 3 ch (replace 1 tr) - see also NOTE under back piece in written pattern. Happy crocheting!

I am stuck on the second row after I do the first A.3 through A.1 when i crochet the 11 single crochets what does it mean after crocheting the 11 dc it has 3ch(replace1dc) am I supposed to ch 3 there? then it has 1sc next st . Then if I start at A.3 again that puts me on top of second chain before the end of 13 dc below. FORGET THE ABOVE I AM JUST LOST ON 1ST ROW IN A.z IT COMES OUT OK ON THE FIRST A.3 THRU A.1 THEN I GET LOST ON THE DC BELOW thank you for your help. Betty Johnson

26.05.2016 - 22:16

DROPS Design answered:

Dear Mrs Johnson, on 1st row in A.z (= from WS), work A.3, A.2 2 times in width, A.1, 3 ch (replace 1 dc), 1 dc in each of the next 9 dc, 3 ch (replace 1 dc), 1 sc in next st, then start diagram again with: A.3 (= 5 ch), A.2, A.1, 3 ch (replace 1 dc), 1 dc in each of the next 9 dc, 3 ch (replace 1 dc), 1 sc in next st, A.3, A.2 2 times in width and A.1. So that over the 11 dc between diagrams you will now work 3 ch, 1 sc in first of the 11 dc, 9 dc, 3 ch, 1 sc in the last of 11 dc (= the first and last 3 ch replace here each 1 dc). Happy crocheting!
