How to knit the sleeve with short rows in DROPS Baby 16-3

Keywords: garter stitch, jacket, short rows,

In this DROPS video we show how to knit the sleeve with short rows as on the Little Jamboree jacket in DROPS Baby 16-3. We begin with slipping st on to a separate needle, cutting the thread and casting on new stitches for the sleeve. Hereafter we work 3 repeats of short rows over the sleeve (second/third repeat are fast forwarded), finishing off with casting off the sleeve stitches, working back over the remaining sts from the separate needle and placing a marker in middle st.

This jacket is knitted in DROPS Fabel, but in the video we work with a thicker yarn; DROPS Snow.

Dear Mrs Parvin, when working the short rows on sleeve, they start at the bottom of sleeve, then work towards neck first 72 sts (turn and work return row), then 100 sts (turn and work return row), then 106 sts (turn and work return row). Happy knitting!
