NOTE: This pattern is written in American English. All measurements in charts are in cm. For conversion from cm to inches - click here. Gauge: 8 sts x 11 rows with 4 or 5 strands in stockinette stitch = 10 x 10 cm [4" x 4"]

Stripes Pattern (follow for front, back and sleeves):
1st stripe = 4 strands: 1 strand deep red Tynn Chenille, 1 strand mustard Muskat and 2 strands orange Pelliza. Knit this stripe until the work measures 10-10-11 cm [4" - 4.25" - 4.25"].
2nd stripe = 4 strands: 1 strand deep red Tynn Chenille, 1 strand mustard Muskat, 1 strand ivy Muskat and 1 strand orange Pelliza. Knit until the work measures 21-22-23 cm [8.25" - 8-5/8" - 9"].
3rd stripe = 5 strands: 1 strand deep red Tynn Chenille, 1 strand mustard Muskat, 1 strand ivy Muskat, 1 strand orange Pelliza and 1 strand cerise Pelliza. Knit until the work measures 29-30-32 cm [11-3/8" - 11.75" - 12-5/8"].
4th stripe = 4 strands: 1 strand deep red Tynn Chenille, 1 strand ivy Muskat, 1 strand orange Pelliza and 1 strand cerise Pelliza. Knit until the work measures 37-39-41 cm [14.5" - 15.25" - 16-1/8"].
5th stripe = 4 strands: 1 strand wine red Tynn Chenille, 1 strand ivy Muskat, 1 strand orange Pelliza and 1 strand cerise Pelliza. Knit until the work measures 43-45-47 cm [16-7/8" - 17.75" - 18.5"].
6th stripe = 5 strands: 1 strand wine red Tynn Chenille, 1 strand ivy Muskat, 1 strand wine red Muskat, 1 strand orange Pelliza and 1 strand cerise Pelliza. Knit until the work measures 48-50-52 cm [18-7/8" - 19.75" - 20.5"].
7th stripe = 4 strands: 1 strand wine red Tynn Chenille, 1 strand wine red Muskat, 1 strand ivy Muskat and 1 strand cerise Pelliza. Knit to finished dimensions.

Garter st, when knitting flat: Knit all sts, all rows.

Front: Cast on 34-35-37 sts with 1 strand deep red Tynn Chenille, 1 strand mustard Muskat and 1 strand orange Pelliza (= 3 strands), knit 2 rows garter st. Add 1 strand orange Pelliza (= 4 strands: the colors in the 1st stripe) and knit stockinette st, following stripes pattern above. At the same time - when the work measures 10-10-10 cm [4"], inc 1 st at each side 3 times every 10 cm [4"] = 40-41-43 sts.
When the work measures 39-40-41 cm [15.25" - 15.75" - 16-1/8"], bind off for armholes at each side every other row: 2 sts 1-1-1 time, 1 st 2-2-3 times = 32-33-33 sts. When the work measures 51-53-54 cm [20" - 20-7/8" - 21.25"], bind off the center 6-7-7 sts for the neck. Bind off at each neck edge every other row: 2 sts 1 time, 1 st 2 times = 9 sts remain on each shoulder. Bind off when the work measures 58-60-62 cm [22-7/8" - 23-5/8" - 24-3/8"].

Back: Cast on and knit as for front. Bind off for armholes as on the front. When the work measures 57-59-61 cm [22.5" - 23.25" - 24"] bind off the center 14-15-15 sts for the neck = 9-9-9 sts remaining on each shoulder. Bind off when the work measures 58-60-62 cm [22-7/8" - 23-5/8" - 24-3/8"].

Sleeve: Cast on 19-20-20 sts with 1 strand deep red Tynn Chenille, 1 strand mustard Muskat and 1 strand orange Pelliza. Knit 2 rows garter st. Add 1 strand orange Pelliza (= 4 strands: the colors in the 1st stripe) and knit stockinette st, following stripes pattern above. At the same time, when the work measures 11-11-11 cm [4.25"], inc 1 st at each side of the work 5-5-6 times every 7-7-6 cm [2.75" - 2.75" - 2-3/8"] = 29-30-32 sts. When the work measures 48-47-47 cm [18-7/8" - 18.5" - 18.5"], bind off 2 sts at each side for sleeve cap until the work measures 56-56-57 cm [22" - 22" - 22.5"], bind off.

Assembly: Sew the right shoulder seam. Pick up approx. 32-38 sts around the neck with the same strands as in the last stripe = 4 strands. Knit 2 rows garter st, bind off.
Sew the left shoulder seam and up along the edge of the collar. Sew in the sleeves, sew sleeve- and side seam in one in the outer loop of the sts.
