NOTE: This pattern is written in American English. All measurements in charts are in cm. For conversion from cm to inches - click here. Gauge: 17 sts x 26 rows on larger needles in pattern = 10 x 10 cm [4" x 4"].

Garter st, when knitting flat: Knit all sts, all rows.

Pattern: See charts. The pattern is seen from the right side. Patterns 1, 2, 3 and 4 are knit as follows: 1 row of chart = 2 rows garter st (one row of chart = two rows of knitting). The chart for Pattern 5 shows each row as knit (one row of chart = one row of knitting).

Stripe Pattern (for Body): All rows of Patterns 1, 2, 3 and 4 are knit with color shown in chart + 1 strand of Glitter. Knit as follows over all sts: Pattern 1, * change to rust Cotton Viscose and knit 5.5-6-6.5-7 cm [2 1/8" - 2 3/8" - 2.5" - 2.75"] of Pattern 5 - row 1 is a wrong side row, Pattern 2, change to cerise Cotton Viscose and knit 5.5-6-6.5-7 cm [2 1/8" - 2 3/8" - 2.5" - 2.75"] of Pattern 5 - row 1 is a wrong side row, Pattern 3, change to rust Paris + Glitter and knit 5.5-6-6.5-7 cm [2 1/8" - 2 3/8" - 2.5" - 2.75"] reverse stockinette st, Pattern 4 * , repeat from * - *.

Stripe Pattern (for sleeve): Only rows in Paris in Patterns 1 through 4 are knit with Glitter, all the rest are knit without Glitter.
Knit as follows over all sts: Pattern 1, * change to rust Cotton Viscose and knit 5.5-6-6.5-7 cm [2 1/8" - 2 3/8" - 2.5" - 2.75"] reverse stockinette st, Pattern 2, change to cerise Cotton Viscose and knit 5.5-6-6.5-7 cm [2 1/8" - 2 3/8" - 2.5" - 2.75"] reverse stockinette st, Pattern 3, change to rust Paris and knit 5.5-6-6.5-7 cm [2 1/8" - 2 3/8" - 2.5" - 2.75"] reverse stockinette st, Pattern 4 * , repeat from * - * to finished dimensions.

Front: Cast on 64-70-76-84 sts on smaller needles with rust Paris + Glitter. Knit 2 rows garter st, change to larger needles and stripe pattern for Body - see instructions above. On each of the last rows of Pattern 1, Pattern 2 and Pattern 3 inc 4 sts evenly distributed on the row = 76-82-88-96 sts.
When the piece measures 29-30-31-32 cm [11 3/8" - 11.75" - 12.25" - 12 5/8"] bind off for armhole at each side every other row: 3 sts 1-1-1-1 time, 2 sts 0-1-2-3 times and 1 st 4-4-4-6 times = 62-64-66-66 sts. Note: when decreasing in Pattern 5 be careful to maintain the pattern. When the piece measures 40-42-44-46 cm [15.75" - 16.5" - 17.25" - 18 1/8"] bind off the center 10-10-12-12 sts for the neck. Then bind off at each neck edge every other row: 2 sts 2 times and 1 st 4 times. Bind off the remaining 18-19-19-19 sts on each shoulder when the piece measures 48-50-52-54 cm [18 7/8" - 19.75" - 20.5" - 21.25"].

Back: Cast on and knit the same as the front. Bind off for armhole as on front and continue until the piece measures 46-48-50-52 cm [18 1/8" - 18-7/8" - 19.75" - 20.5"]. Bind off the center 22-22-24-24 sts for the neck. On the next row bind off 2 sts at each neck edge. Bind off the remaining 18-19-19-19 sts on each shoulder when the piece measures 48-50-52-54 cm [18 7/8" - 19.75" - 20.5" - 21.25"].

Sleeve: Cast on 36-38-38-40 sts on smaller needles with rust Paris + Glitter. Knit 2 rows garter st, change to larger needles and stripe pattern for Sleeve - see instructions above. When the piece measures 7 cm [2.75"] inc 1 st at each side 12-13-15-15 times every 3.5-3-2.5-2.5 cm [1 3/8" - 1.25" - 1" - 1"] = 60-64-68-70 sts. When sleeve measures 50-49-48-46 cm [19.75" - 19.25" - 18 7/8" - 18 1/8"] bind off for sleeve cap at each side every other row: 3 sts 1-1-1-1 time, 2 sts 3-3-3-3 times, 1 st 3-4-5-8 times, then bind off 2 sts at each side every other row until the piece measures 58-58-58-58 cm [22 7/8"]. Bind off the remaining sts.

Assembly: Sew right shoulder. Pick up approx. 68 to 72 sts around the neck on smaller needles with rust Paris + Glitter. Knit 6 rows garter st, bind off. Sew left shoulder and up along neckband. Sew in sleeves. Sew sleeve and side seams using edge sts as a seam allowance.
