YARN TIP:
When working with several strands from same ball, work from inside and outside of same ball. When using 3 strands, cut in addition an appropriate length of yarn. Estimate approx. 3-4 metres/ 3½-4½ yds per stripes. Work yarn ends in along the way, to have fewer strands to fasten when finished.

DOUBLE SEED ST:
Work entire pot holder in double seed st as follows:
Row 1: * K 2, P 2 *, repeat from *-* and finish with K 2.
Row 2: K over K and P over P.
Row 3: * P 2, K 2 *, repeat from *-* and finish with P 2.
Row 4: K over K and P over P.
Repeat these 4 rows in each stripe.

STRIPES:
There are 2 different color combinations. Each stripe = 4 rows.

COLOR 1:
Stripe 1: 3 strands shocking pink
Stripe 2: 2 strands shocking pink + 1 strand medium pink
Stripe 3: 2 strands medium pink + 1 strand shocking pink
Stripe 4: 2 strands medium pink + 1 strand light pink
Stripe 5: 2 strands light pink + 1 strand medium pink
Stripe 6: 2 strands light pink + 1 strand white
Stripe 7: 2 strands white + 1 strand light pink
Stripe 8: 3 strands white

COLOR 2:
Stripe 1: 3 strands strong yellow
Stripe 2: 2 strands strong yellow + 1 strand vanilla
Stripe 3: 2 strands vanilla + 1 strand strong yellow
Stripe 4: 2 strands vanilla + 1 strand light yellow
Stripe 5: 2 strands light yellow + 1 strand vanilla
Stripe 6: 2 strands light yellow + 1 strand white
Stripe 7: 2 strands white + 1 strand light yellow
Stripe 8: 3 strands white

POT HOLDER:
Worked back and forth on needle. READ YARN TIP ABOVE. Cast on 22 sts with 3 strands of stripe 1 in COLOR 1 or 2 on needle size 7 mm / US 10.75 – READ STRIPES/COLOR 1 AND 2 ABOVE. Then work STRIPES and DOUBLE SEED ST - see explanation above, until 2 rows remain of stripe 8. Work until 2 sts remain on needle. Now cast on 5 new sts inside the last 2 sts to make a strong strap. Work the last 2 sts, turn piece. Work last row K over K and P over P AT THE SAME TIME bind off (work the 5 sts for strap K before binding them off). Cut the yarn and fasten.
