Turn and work 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook, then work 1 sc in every ch = 8-9-10 sc. Continue with sc back and forth and turn with 1 ch after every row.
When piece measures 10 cm / 4’’, inc 1 sc in the right side (inc by working 2 sc in outermost st).
When piece measures 15 cm / 6’’, inc 1 sc in the left side = 10-11-12 sc.
When piece measures 18-20-23 cm / 7”-8”-9”, the sole is done, last row = at the front towards toe.
Do no turn piece after last row!
Work an edge around the sole as follows:
Work approx. 28-31-36 sc along long side of sole, work 1 sc in each of the 8-9-10 sc along short side (= heel), continue along the other long side with approx. 28-31-36 sc.
Turn and continue to work sc back and forth over approx. 64-71-82 sc.
When edge measures approx. 6½-7-8 cm / 2½”-2 ¾”-3”, finish and cut the yarn, leave approx. 25 cm / 10’’ for assembly.
Place edges on top of each other double at the front towards toe.
Sew tog with neat stitches through all 3 layers mid front.
Work another slipper the same way but place edge towards the other side when sewing tog.
Work a ch-row approx. 50 cm / 20’’ long. Cut the yarn and tie a knot in each end. Thread the tie up and down through the underlying edge mid on top of foot, then thread the tie through outer edge on the overlapping part.
Make sure that tie is the same length in both ends and tie a little bow.
Repeat on the other slipper.
