CROCHET TIP:
Replace first dc on every round with 3 ch. Finish with 1 sl st in 3rd ch from beg of round.
--------------------------------------------------------

BAG:
The bag is worked top down.
With light mint green ch 96 on hook size 4 mm / G/6 and form a ring with 1 sl st in first ch.
ROUND 1: ch 3, 1 dc in each of the next ch 2, * ch 1, skip ch 1, 1 dc in each of the next 3 ch *, repeat from *-* and finish with ch 1, skip 1 ch and 1 sl st in 3rd ch from beg of round = 72 dc. Turn.
ROUND 2: READ CROCHET TIP! Work 3 dc in every ch, finish with 1 sl st in 3rd ch from beg of round = 24 groups with 3 dc. Turn.
ROUND 3: Work 3 dc between every group with 3 dc. Turn.
ROUND 4-5: As 3rd round.
ROUND 6: Work as round 3 but between the last and first dc-group on round and between the 12th and 13th dc-group work as follows: 3 dc, ch 1, 3 dc. 2 dc-groups have been inc = 26 dc-groups.
ROUND 7-9: As 3rd round.
ROUND 10: Work as round 3 but between the last and first dc-group on round and between the 13th and 14th dc-group work as follows: 3 dc, ch 1, 3 dc. 2 dc-groups have been inc = 28 dc-groups.
ROUND 11: As 3rd round.
ROUND 12: Work 1 dc in every dc = 84 dc. Insert 2 markers in the piece, the first at beg of round and the second after 42 dc.
ROUND 13-26: Work 1 dc in every dc, AT THE SAME TIME on 14th, 17th, 20th and 23rd round work 2 dc in 1 dc on each side of markers (= 4 inc dc) = 100 dc.
Work bag tog in the bottom, from the inside, with sc through both layers.

RUFFLE:
Hold the bag so that bottom is away from you. Work with white on hook size 4 mm / G/6 as follows:
1 sc in first dc from bag's 1st round, * ch 4, skip 2 dc, 1 sc in next dc *, repeat from *-* and finish with ch 4, skip 2 dc and 1 sl st in first sc.
Round 2: In every ch-space work as follows: 1 sc, 1 hdc, 3 dc, 1 hdc, 1 sc. Fasten off.

Work a similar ruffle in the bag's 10th round (on next to last round with dc-groups).

HANDLE:
With light mint green ch 7, turn and work 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook, then 1 sc in each of the last 5 ch = 6 sc. Then work 1 sc in every sc back and forth and turn every row with 1 ch until handle measures 52 cm / 20½'', cut the yarn.

ASSEMBLY:
Fasten the handle in each side of bag. With white work a row with sc along each long side of handle and around the opening on bag.
