CHRISTMAS BAG:
Wind up some Glitter on a piece of card board/spool so that you can crochet with 2 threads Glitter at the same time.
Ch 6 on hook size 3.5 mm with 1 strand off white and 2 strands Glitter. Form a ring with 1 sl st in 1st ch.
ROUND 1: ch 1 (= 1 sc), 11 sc in ch-ring, finish with 1 sl st in ch from beg of round = 12 sc.
ROUND 2: 4 ch (= 1 dc + ch 1), * 1 dc in next st, ch 1 *, repeat from *-* the entire round and finish with 1 sl st in 3rd ch from beg of round = 12 dc with ch 1 between each.
ROUND 3: ch 3, work 2 dc tog in same ch (i.e. work 1 dc but wait with last YO and pull through, work next dc and pull last YO through all 3 sts on hook), * ch 3, 3 dc tog in next ch (i.e. work 1 dc but wait with last YO and pull through, work next dc but wait with last YO and pull through, work last dc but now pull last YO through all 4 sts on hook) *, repeat from *-* the entire round and finish with 3 ch and 1 sl st at the top of first dc-group at beg of round.
ROUND 4: Switch to red. Work 4 sc every ch space the entire round and finish with 1 sl st in first sc from beg of round.
ROUND 5: 3 ch (= 1 dc), 1 dc + ch 2 + 2 dc in same st, * ch 2, skip 3 sc, 2 sc in loop before the next 4 sc, ch 3, skip 3 sc, 2 sc in loop before the next 4 sc, ch 2, skip 3 sc **, 2 dc + ch 2 + 2 dc in loop before the next 4 sc *, repeat from *-* 2 more times and from *-** one time, finish with 1 sl st in 3rd ch from beg of round.
ROUND 6: Work sl sts until first ch space in the corner, ch 3, 2 dc + ch 2 + 3 dc in ch space in the corner, * 3 dc in each of the next 3 ch spaces, 3 dc + ch 2 + 3 dc *, repeat from *-* a total of 3 times, 3 dc in each of the last 3 ch spaces and finish with 1 sl st in 3rd ch from beg of round. Fasten off.

Work another square but now do not cut the yarn when the square has been worked.
Place the 2 squares WS against WS and work them tog on hook size 3.5 mm with red as follows (work them tog along 2 of the 4 sides):
Work sl sts until first corner on the first square, ch 1, 1 sc in ch space in the corner on the other square, ch 3, 1 sc between the first 2 dc-groups on the first square, ch 1, 1 sc between the first 2 dc-groups on the other square, ch 3, 1 sc between the next 2 dc-groups on the first square, ch 1, 1 sc between the next 2 dc-groups on the other square etc.
Finish with 1 sl st in the last corner, do not cut the yarn.

LACE EDGE:
Work with red around the entire opening on the Christmas bag as follows: 1 sc in one corner on the square where 2 squares were worked tog, * ch 3, 1 sc in the first of the ch 3, skip 1 st, 1 sc in next st *, repeat from *-* and finish with 1 sl st in 1st sc from beg of round.
Fasten off.

HANDLE:
Work 1 sc in one tip at the top of Christmas bag, ch 20 and fasten with 1 sc at the top of the other tip.
Fasten off.
