VEST OR PULLOVER:

Gauge:
Alaska: 15 sts x 19 rows on larger needles in stockinette st = 10 x 10 cm.
Puddel: 10 sts x 14 rows in stockinette st = 10 x 10 cm.

Rib: * K 2, P 2 *, repeat from * - *.

Increasing tips (for Body):
All incs are made from the right side inside of 20-22-24-26-28 sts at each side (= 1 edge st, 15-17-19-21-23 sts rib and K 4). Inc 1 st as follows:
Make 2 yo, on the next row let one yo drop, P the other yo.

Knitting tips (for armhole):
All decs are made from right side. Dec inside of: Vest: 3 sts knit in garter st.
Pullover: 3 P sts (seen from the right side).
After 3 edge sts: Slip 1 st as if to knit, K 1, psso. Before 3 edge sts: K 2 tog.

Vest and Pullover:

Front: Cast on 62-66-74-78-86 sts on smaller needles with Alaska. Knit 4 rows rib as follows (row 1 = right side):
Size S, L + XXL:
Row 1: K1 (edge st knit in garter st), K 1, * P 2, K 2 *, repeat from * - * and finish with P 2, K 1, K 1 (edge st knit in garter st).
Row 2: K1 (edge st knit in garter st), P 1, * K 2, P 2 *, repeat from * - * and finish with K 2, P 1, K 1 (edge st knit in garter st).
Size M + XL:
Row 1: K 1 (edge st knit in garter st), P 1, * K 2, P 2 *, repeat from * - * and finish with K 2, P 1, K 1 (edge st knit in garter st).
Row 2: K1 (edge st knit in garter st), K 1, * P 2, K 2 *, repeat from * - * and finish with P 2, K 1, K 1 (edge st knit in garter st).
Change to larger needles and stockinette st keeping 1 edge st in garter st and 15-17-19-21-23 sts rib at each side. When the piece measures 7 cm inc 1 st at each side - see Increasing tips - every 6-6-8-8-8 rows a total of 5 times = 72-76-84-88-96 sts. When the piece measures 34-35-36-37-39 cm knit 2 rows garter st over the outermost 8-10-8-10-8 sts at each side, then bind off 5-7-5-7-5 sts at each side for armhole. Dec 1 st for armhole at each side every other row - see knitting tips: 4-4-8-8-12 times = 54-54-58-58-62 sts. Continue in stockinette st, keeping 7 sts at each side in garter/rib as established to finished measurements. When the piece measures 46-48-50-52-54 cm bind off the center 14-14-16-16-16 sts for the neck. Then bind off at each neck edge every other row: 2 sts 1 time and 1 st 2 times = 16-16-17-17-19 sts remain on each shoulder. Bind off when the piece measures 52-54-56-58-60 cm.

Back: Cast on and knit the same as the front. Bind off for armhole as on front and continue in stockinette st and 7 sts at each side in garter/rib as established. When the piece measures 50-52-54-56-58 cm bind off the center 20-20-22-22-22 sts for the neck. On the next row dec 1 st at each neck edge = 16-16-17-17-19 sts remain on each shoulder. Bind off when the piece measures 52-54-56-58-60 cm.

Sleeve (for pullover): Cast on 38-38-42-42-46 sts on smaller needles with Alaska. Knit 4 rows rib as follows (row 1 = right side):
Row 1: K 1 (edge st knit in garter st), K 1, * P 2, K 2 *, repeat from * - * and finish with P 2, K 1 and K 1 (edge st knit in garter st).
Row 2: K1 (edge st knit in garter st), P 1, * K 2, P 2 *, repeat from * - * and finish with K 2, P 1, K 1 (edge st knit in garter st).
Change to larger needles and knit the next row as follows (right side row): K 1 (edge st), K 1, P 2, K 2, P 2, stockinette st over the following 22-22-26-26-30 sts, P 2, K 2, P 2, K 1 and K 1 (edge st). Continue in rib/stockinette st as established until the piece measures 10 cm, then inc 1 st at each side inside of the rib (in the stockinette st) every 7-5.5-5-4.5-4 cm a total of 6-7-7-8-8 times = 50-52-56-58-62 sts - knit the increased sts in stockinette st. When sleeve measures 48-47-45-45-43 cm bind off for sleeve cap at each side every other row: 3 sts 1 time, 2 sts 2-1-1-1-1 times and 1 st 3-5-7-7-9 times, then bind off 2 sts at each side until the piece measures 57 cm, then bind off 3 sts 1 time at each side. Bind off the remaining sts, the piece measures approx. 58 cm.

Assembly: Sew right shoulder.
Collar: Pick up approx. 60-70 sts around the neck on smaller needles with Alaska and knit 1 row from the wrong side. Change to largest needles and Puddel, knit stockinette st, decreasing evenly distributed on the 1st row to 40 sts. When the collar measures 18 cm knit 2 rows garter st, then bind off with double strands of yarn. Sew left shoulder and up along the collar. Fold the collar double to right side.
Vest: Sew side seams using edge sts as seam allowance.
Pullover: Sew in sleeves. Sew sleeve and side seams using edge sts as a seam allowance.

After chart is finished, continue the Pattern as established – that is, inc with a yo inside 2 sts at each side then the K 2 tog/yo (at other side, yo/sl 1, K 1, psso) every other row, and every 12th row make a bobble and 1 extra yo. When shawl measures 90 cm knit 1 row from wrong side and then bind off with double strands of yarn.
