NOTE: This pattern is written in British English. All measurements in charts are in cm. For conversion from cm to inches - click here. There are different terms for crocheting in British and American English. If this pattern includes crochet, click for "crochet terms" here. For this pattern in American English, please click here.
DECREASING TIP:
Dec 1 dc at the end of row by turning piece when 1 dc remains on row.
INCREASING TIP:
Inc 1 dc at the end of row by working 2 dc in the last but one dc.
--------------------------------------------------------
--------------------------------------------------------
SLIPPERS:
Crochet back and forth from toes towards the heel, and sewn tog mid upper foot afterwards.
Crochet 5 ch (includes 1 ch to turn with) with crochet hook size 6 mm with 1 thread red Eskimo and 2 threads Glitter (leave approx 30 cm thread end and use this to sew slipper tog afterwards).
ROW 1: Skip the 1 ch closest to the hook, crochet 2 dc in each of the next 4 ch = 8 dc. Turn piece.
ROW 2: 1 ch, then 2 dc in each dc = 16 dc. Turn piece.
ROW 3: 1 ch, then * 1 dc in first dc, 2 dc in next dc *, repeat from *-* = 24 dc. Turn piece.
SIZE 35/37: Inc are now complete.
SIZE 38/40:
ROW 4: 1 ch, then * 1 dc in each of the first 7 dc, 2 dc in next dc *, repeat from *-* = 27 dc.
SIZE 41/43:
ROW 4: 1 ch, then * 1 dc in each of the first 3 dc, 2 dc in next dc *, repeat from *-* = 30 dc.
ALL SIZES:
Continue back and forth with 1 dc in each dc until piece measures 8-9-10 cm. NOTE! Crochet 1 ch at the beg of every row.
Now dec 1 dc at the end of every row
- See DECREASING TIP, and repeat the dec a total of 2-3-3 times each side = 20-21-24 dc. Continue with 1 dc in each dc until piece measures 15-18-20 cm. Now inc 1 dc at the end of every row - See INCREASING TIP, and repeat the inc a total of 2 times each side = 24-25-28 dc. When slipper measures a total of 22-24-27 cm fold it double and crochet tog mid back with a row of sl sts through both layers. Cut and fasten thread. Pull the thread end from the beg through the 4 ch by the toes, tighten at the top and sew slipper tog mid upper foot - sew edge to edge to where the dec beg. Cut and fasten thread.

CROCHET BORDER:
Crochet a border with off-white Eskimo round the opening of slipper as follows:
ROUND 1: Beg mid back, crochet 1 dc in each row and finish with 1 sl st in first dc from beg of round.
ROUND 2: 1 ch, 1 dc in sl st from the end of previous round, * 3 ch, 1 htr in the first of the 3 ch, skip approx 2 cm, 1 dc in next dc *, repeat from *-* and finish with 3 ch, 1 htr in the first of the 3 ch, skip approx 2 cm, 1 sl st in dc from beg of round.
Cut and fasten thread.

STRAP:
Crochet a strap with 2 threads off-white Eskimo as follows: 1 dc in dc-row in the middle of one side, then crochet a ch-string measuring approx 16 to 20 cm, finish with 1 sl st in the first dc so that the ch-string forms a loop. Sew a button to the opposite side of slipper.

POMPOM:
Make 1 pompom with a diameter of approx 5 cm with off-white. Sew the pompom to the slipper, not the crochet border, right in front of the button.
