HEAD BAND
Size: One-size
Circumference: approx 46 cm [18’’].
Width: approx 13 cm [5 1/8’’].

Materials:DROPS Eskimo from Garnstudio
100 g color no 36, amethyst mix

DROPS Needles size 8 mm [US 11] – or the needle size needed to obtain correct knitting gauge.

Size: One-size
Length: approx 150 cm [59’’].
Width: approx 23 cm [9’’].

Materials:DROPS Alaska from Garnstudio
350 g color no 04, grey

DROPS needles size 5.5 mm [US 9] – or the needle size needed to obtain correct knitting gauge.

HEAD BAND
Knitting gauge: 10 sts x 17 rows moss stitch with 2 threads Eskimo = 10 x 10 cm [4’’ x 4’’]

Moss stitch: 1st row: * K1, P1 * repeat from *-* and finish with 1 K. 2nd row: K over P and P over K. Repeat 2nd row.

Head band:
Cast on 13 sts on needle size 8 mm [US 11] with 2 threads Eskimo. Knit moss stitch - see explanation above – until piece measures approx 46 cm [18’’]. Bind off K over K and P over P. Sew head band tog in outermost edge mid back.


SCARF
Knitting gauge: 16 sts x 20 rows stockinette sts = 10 x 10 cm [4’’ x 4’’]

Pattern: See diagram M.1 to M.3. Diagrams are seen from RS.

Scarf:
Cast on 46 sts on needle size 5.5 mm [US 9] with Alaska. Knit 4 rows garter sts. At the same time on 4th row inc 8 sts evenly = 54 sts. Continue knitting as follows (from RS): 5 sts garter sts, M.1 (= 10 sts), M.2 (= 24 sts), M.3 (= 10 sts) and 5 sts garter sts. When piece measures approx 150 cm [59’’] (adjust after 25th row of M.2 so scarf start and finish alike). Knit 4 rows garter sts. At the same time dec 8 sts evenly on 1st row = 46 sts. Bind off.
