Crochet tension: 5 tr with 1 ch between in width and 5 rows in height = 10 x 10 cm
Knitting tension: 11 sts x 15 rows stocking sts = 10 x 10 cm
Crochet info: Substitute each tr in beginning of row with 3 ch.
Cast off tip (arm hole): Cast off at end of row by crocheting to number of tr/ch to be cast off and then turn piece.
Cast off at beg of row by crocheting sl st over number of tr/ch to be cast off.

Waistcoat:
Back piece: Read US/UK above! Remember knitting tension! Cast on 53-56-62-65-71-80 sts (incl 1 edge sts on each side) on needles size 8 mm with dark grey. P1 row from WS. Knit next row as follows from RS: 1 edge st, * K1, P2 * repeat from *-* and finish with 1 edge st. When Rib measures 10 cm cast off, K over K and P over P. Now crochet with crochet hook size 8 mm and middle grey as follows:
Make1 ch between each tr. Complete each row with 1 tr.
1st round: 1 dc in 2nd sts on cast off edge of Rib, 2 ch * 1 ch, skip approx 2 cm, 1 tr in next sts * repeat from *-* 22-24-26-28-30-34 times in total = 23-25-27-29-31-35 tr with 1 ch between each. Remember knitting tension!
2nd round: Read Crochet tip! 3 ch (= 1 tr) * 1 ch, 1 tr around ch from previous round * repeat from *-* = 23-25-27-29-31-35 tr with 1 ch between each. Crochet 2nd row until piece measures 42-43-44-45-46-47 cm. Now close off 1 tr and 1 ch on each side of each row 2-3-3-4-4-6 times in total – read Cast off tips = 19-19-21-21-23-23 tr with 1 ch between each. When piece measures 60-64-66-68-70-72 cm crochet 1 row but only over 5-5-6-6-6-6 outermost tr on each side = 9-9-9-9-11-11 tr for neck. Cut and sew thread.

Front piece: Cast on and knit like back piece. Now crochet like back piece. Cast off for armhole on side like back piece. At the same time when piece measures 45-47-47-49-49-51 cm cast off middle 9-9-9-9-11-11 tr for neck (cast off by not crocheting over middle 9-9-9-9-11-11 tr). Complete each side separately from here. Crochet until piece measures 62-64-66-68-70-72 cm. Repeat on other side.

Assembly: Sew Rib tog at bottom edge within 1 edge sts. Sew piece tog in outermost edge. Sew shoulder seams.

Sleeve edge: Pick up 54-60-63-69-72-81 sts around armhole on double pointed needles size 8 mm with dark grey. Knit Rib * K1, P2 * repeat from *-* until edge measures 5 cm. Cast off K over K and P over P.

Neck: Knit piece back and forth on circular needles. Insert 1 marking thread or stitch marker on neck mid back. Pick up 57-70 sts from RS on circular needle size 8 mm with dark grey around neckline. Start at bottom right corner of front piece, continue up along side of neck, around back of neck and down along other side, do not pick up at bottom edge of neckline to front. Ensure to pick up approx an equal amount of sts on each side of marking thread or stitch marker mid back. K 1 row from WS at the same time inc 21-23 sts evenly = 78-93 (dividable with 3). Continue as follows: 1 st garter st, * K1, P2 * repeat from *-* and finish off with K1 and 1 sts garter st. Continue like this until Rib measures approx 7 cm. Now inc 1 sts on every other row 4 times in total on each of the 3 P-parts on each side of marking thread or stitch marker mid back = 102-117 sts (P new sts). Knit until neck edge measures 18-18-18-18-22-22 cm. Cast off K over K and P over P.
Assembly: Sew neck onto body piece mid front where tr/ch have been cast off. Sew left part first. Then sew right part on over left.

MITTENS:

100-100 g colour no 14, dark grey
50-50 g colour no 46, middle grey

DROPS crochet hook size 7 mm (K/10.5)– or the crochet hook size needed to obtain correct crochet tension.
DROPS double pointed needles size 8 mm – or the needle size needed to obtain correct knitting tension.

Decreasing tips: Crocheting tog of 2 cd to 1 dc: Crochet 1 dc, but wait pulling through last sts (= 2 threads on crochet hook), then crochet next dc but when last pull through is made, pull yarn through all sts on crochet hook – now 1 sts is decreased
Crochet tension: 12 dc (US sc)in width = 10 cm (4")
Knitting tension: 11 sts x 15 rows stocking sts with 1 thread = 10 x 10 cm.

Mittens: Crochet 28-32 ch on crochet hook size 7 mm (K/10.5)with dark grey and create 1 ring with 1 sl st.
1st round: *1 dc in each of 3 first ch, skip 1 ch * repeat from *-* = 21-24 dc. Continuing crochet dc round and around. When piece measures 8 cm make an opening for thumb by crocheting 5-6 ch in beginning of round, skip next 5-6 dc and continue with dc around like before. On next round crochet 1 dc on each of 5-6 ch that were crochet for thumb opening = 21-24 dc. Continue round until piece measures 19 cm, or to desired measurement (there are approx 2 cm left to complete measurement). Now dec by crocheting dc tog 2 by 2 on entire round – read Decreasing tips = 11-12 dc (crochet 1 dc in last dc in size S/M). Crochet 1 round without dec, then crochet 1 round at the same time dec again by crocheting dc tog = 6-6 dc (crochet 1 dc in last dc in size S/M). Crochet 1 round more with dec in same way = 3 dc left. Pull thread through remaining sts and pull tog before sewing away.

Thumb: Crochet 10-12 dc around opening of thumb. Crochet 1 dc in each dc at the same time dec 1 dc on each side by crocheting 2 dc tog = 8-10 dc. Crochet 1 dc in each dc round and around. When thumb measures approx 5 cm (or desired length) crochet 1 round with dc at the same time dec by crocheting dc tog = 4-5 dc left. Pull thread through remaining sts and pull tog before sewing away well.

Rib: Pick up 21 sts around bottom edge of mitten on double pointed needles size 8 mm with middle grey Eskimo. Knit * K1, P2 *, repeat from *-*. When Rib measures 8 cm cast off, K over K and P over P. Crochet 1 mitten more.
