Knitting Tension: 10 sts x 14 rows on needles size 7 mm in stocking sts = 10 x 10 cm.
Neck warmer: Knitted round from bottom up. Fold the circular needle size 7 mm double and cast on 90 sts using both ends (to make sure the edge becomes elastic) with Puddel. Remove 1 end/needle and knit round as follows: Purl 1 round, knit 1 round and insert 5 marking threads in piece with 18 sts between each thread. Continue in stocking sts, at the same time dec 1 st to the left of all marking threads on every other round a total of 7 times = 55 sts – dec by K2 tog. When piece measures 18 cm cast off loosely – to ensure the edge becomes elastic, make a yo after every 5th st whilst casting off and cast off yo’s as sts.
Crochet borders: Crochet a round of ch-loops along the lower edge of neck warmer on crochet hook size 6 mm with Puddel as follows: 1 dc in the first st, *8 ch, skip approx 5 cm, 1 dc in next st*, repeat from *-* and finish with 8 ch and 1 sl st in the first dc from beg of round. Crochet a round of ch-loops along the upper edge as follows: 1 dc in the first st, *4 ch, skip approx 2 cm, 1 dc in next st*, repeat from *-* and finish with 4 ch and 1 edge st in the first dc from beg of round.
Flower: Crochet 4 ch on crochet hook size 6 mm with Eskimo and form a ring with a sl st.
1st round: 1 dc in ring, *3 ch, 1 dc in ring*, repeat from *-* a total of 2 times and finish with 3 ch and a sl st in the first dc from beg of round = 3 ch-loops.
2nd round: 1 ch and crochet as follows in each ch-loop: 1 sl st, 5 tr and 1 sl st. Turn the piece and crochet next round from the back.
3rd round: 1 ch, 1 dc in dc from previous round, *3 ch, 1 dc at the bottom of the third tr from 2nd round (i.e. in the middle of the flower’s lower edge), 3 ch, 1 dc in next dc from previous round*, repeat from *-* until you have 5 ch-loops on round and finish with 3 ch and a sl st in the first ch from beg of round = 6 ch-loops. Turn the piece and crochet next round from the front.
4th round: 1 ch and crochet as follows in each ch-loop: 1 sl st, 3 tr and 1 sl st. Finish with 1 sl st in the first ch from beg of round.
Cut the thread. Sew on a small safety pin and attach to neck warmer.
