NOTE: This pattern is written in British English. All measurements in charts are in cm. For conversion from cm to inches - click here. Crochet 2 tr tog. to 1 tr as follows: Crochet 1 tr but wait with the last pull through (= 2 threads on hook), now crochet the next tr, but when making the last pull through, pull through all sts on hook.

Lace edge: When making the lace edge, do not crochet through the whole st but only the most outer part of the dc. Crochet as follows: *2 ch, 1 dc*, repeat from *-*. The round after the lace edge is crochet in the same round but this time crochet in the back part of the dc.

Colours for Peter: Legs: 5 rounds of brown, 2 rounds of off-white, 1 off-white lace edge, 15 rounds of flesh colour. Arms: 7 rounds of flesh colour, 1 round of off-white, 1 off- white lace edge, *2 rounds of off-white, 1 round of blue*, repeat from *-* until finished measurements.
Trouser legs + trousers: Blue. Jumper: *1 round of blue, 2 rounds of off-white*, repeat from *-*.

Colours for Pernille: Legs: 5 rounds of brown, 1 rounds of off-white, 1 off- white lace edge, 11 rounds of flesh colour, 1 off-white lace edge and hereafter off- white until finished measurements. Arms: Flesh colour. Trouser legs: Off-white. Dress: 1 thread of rose and 1 thread of glitter.

THE DOLL PETER:

See explanation of colours above.
Crochet 2 legs, 2 arms and 2 trouser legs.

Leg: Crochet 4 ch and make a loop with a sl st.
1st round: Crochet 6 dc around the loop, finish with a sl st in the first dc.
2nd round: 1 ch, *1 dc, 2 dc in the next st*. Repeat from *-* (= 9 dc). Finish with a sl st in the first ch.
3rd-21st round: 1 ch, 9 dc, finish with a sl st in the first ch (remember the lace edge according the above explanation).
22nd round: 1 ch, 4 dc, 2 dc in the next dc, 3 dc, 2 dc in the next dc (=11 dc). Finish with a sl st in the first dc.
23rd round: 1 ch, crochet 2 dc in each dc = 22 dc. Cut and sew the thread. Fill with cotton.

Arm: Crochet round 1-21 as for the leg, on the next round dec 1 dc as follows: skip a dc (= 8 dc on round). Cut the thread and sew. Fill with cotton.
Trouser leg: Crochet 22 ch and make a loop with a sl st.
1st round: Crochet 1 dc in each ch, finish with a sl st in the first dc.
2nd-4th round: 3 ch, 1 tr in each dc. Finish with a sl st in the first ch. On one of the legs cut the thread and sew. On the other leg cut the thread but don’t sew it as it needs to be used to crochet the legs tog.

Trousers: Put a leg in each trouser leg. Crochet 3 ch with the thread from one of the trouser legs.
1st round: Continue to crochet the legs so they become attach to the trousers as follows: Crochet through both the trousers and the leg. Crochet 1 round of tr around the first leg and then around the second leg.
2nd round: 3 ch, 1 round of tr at the same time dec. every 4th tr as follows: crochet the 3rd and the 4th tr tog. – see explanation above = 33 tr. Finish with a sl st at the beginning of round.
3rd round: 3 ch, 1 round of tr at the same time dec. every 3rd tr as follows: crochet the 2nd and the 3rd tr tog. – see explanation above = 22 tr. Finish with a sl st at the beginning of round.

Jumper: Round starts mid back.
1st-10th round: 1 ch, 1 dc in each st, finish with a sl st in the first ch.
11th round: 1 ch, 1 dc, skip a dc, 1 dc in each of the next 6 dc, skip 1 dc, 1 dc in the next st, skip 1 dc, 1 dc in the next st, skip a dc, 1 dc in the following 6 dc, skip a dc, 1 dc in the next st, skip a dc and attach with a sl st in the beginning of round = 16 dc.
12th round: Now crochet the arms to the body as follows: 1 ch, 2 dc, put the arms double at the top of the jumper, crochet 4 dc through both the arms and the jumper. Then crochet 4 dc(=the front) and attach the other arm the same way, crochet 2 dc, and finish with a sl st in the first ch.
13th round: Crochet a lace edge in off-white.

Head: Change to flesh colour.
1st and 2nd round: 1 ch, 16 dc around, finish with a sl st in the first ch.
3rd round: 1 ch, *1 dc, 2 dc in the next dc*, repeat from *-* until end of round = 24 dc, finish with a sl st in the first ch.
4th-7th round: 1 ch, 1 dc in each st until end of round and finish with a sl st in the first ch.
8th round: 1 ch, 5 dc, in the next st crochet an ear as follows: 3 tr which are crochet tog. in the last pull through ( this means: wait with the last pull through in each tr until all 3 tr are crochet, yrh and pull through all sts). 11 dc, crochet another ear in the next dc, crochet dc until end of round, and finish with a sl st in the first ch.
9th -13th round: Crochet as round 4-7.

Assembly: Fill the body and the head with cotton wool. Sew the opening between the legs, sew on eyes and mouth. Put the head flat, face up and crochet it tog. at the top with dc’s through both layers with flesh colour.
Short hair: 1 dc, *5 ch, crochet backwards over the ch’s as follows: Skip 1 ch, crochet 3 dc in each of the next 4 ch, crochet 1-2 dc backwards on the head (depending on how much hair the doll should have)*, repeat from *-* until end of row, cut the thread and sew.



THE DOLL PERNILLE:

See explanation above.
The dolls legs, arms, jumper and head are the same as for Peters.

Trouser legs: after the 23. round crochet 1 round of tr in off-white around one leg and then around the other leg.

Skirt: Crochet 44 ch and make a loop with a sl st.
1st round: Crochet 1 dc in each st, finish with a sl st in the first dc.
2nd round: 3 ch, 1 tr in each dc, finish with a sl st.
3rd round: Put both legs inside the skirt. Crochet 3 ch, hereafter 1 round of tr- pull the hook through both legs and skirt- at the same time dec. every 4th st as follows: crochet the 3rd and 4th st together – see above explanation = 33 tr. Finish round with a sl st.
4th round: 3 ch, crochet 1 round of tr - at the same dec, every 3rd st as follows: crochet the 3rd and 4th st together = 22 tr. Finish round with a sl st. Continue as described under the jumper.
Long hair: Crochet as done for Peters hair, but every hair straw = 13 ch instead of 5 ch.



Teddy
Size: Approx 13 cm long
Materials: DROPS Muskat from Garnstudio
The teddy weighs less than 50 g.
Use remains and choose colours of your own choice (see picture for suggestions)

DROPS crochet hook size 4 mm
Accessories: Cotton wool for filling.

Crochet info: Replace the first dc at beginning of each round with a ch, and finish each round with a sl st in the first dc on round.
Crochet dc’s tog. as follows: 2 dc’s are crochet tog. as follows: push the hook into the first st, get the thread and push the hook through the next st, get the thread, yrh and pull the thread through all 3 sts on hook.

Head and body: Read Crochet info! Crochet 4 ch and make a loop with a sl st.
1st round: Crochet 6 dc around the loop
2nd round: 2 dc in each dc = 12 dc.
3rd round: 1 dc in each dc = 12 dc.
4th round: *1 dc in the first dc, 2 dc in the next dc*, repeat from *-* until finish round = 18 dc.
5th – 8th round: 1 dc in each dc = 18 dc.
9th round: *1 dc in the first dc, crochet the next 2 dc tog. (see explanation above)*, repeat from *-* until finish round = 12 dc.
10th round: 1 dc in each dc = 12 dc.
11th round: Crochet the dc’s tog. 2 and 2 = 6 dc.
12th round: 1 dc in each dc = 6 dc.
13th round: Begin the increase for the body here:
Crochet 2 dc in each dc = 12 dc.
14th round: *1 dc in the first dc, 2 dc in the next dc*, repeat from *-* until finish round = 18 dc.
15th round: 1 dc in each dc = 18 dc.
16th round: *1 dc in each of the first 2 dc, 2 dc in the next dc*, repeat from *-* until finish round = 24 dc.
17th round: 1 dc in each dc = 24 dc
18th round: *1 dc in each of the first 3 dc, 2 dc in the next dc*, repeat from *-* until finish round = 30 dc.
19th – 24th round: 1 dc in each dc = 30 dc.
25th round: *1 dc in each of the first 3 dc, crochet 2 dc tog.*, repeat from *-* until finish round = 24 dc.
26th round: 1 dc in each dc = 24 dc.
27th round: *1 dc in the first dc, crochet 2 dc tog.*, repeat from *-* until finish round = 16 dc.
28th round: 1 dc in each dc = 16 dc.
29th round: Crochet the dc’s tog. 2 and 2 = 8 dc.
Fill with cotton wool
30th round: Crochet the dc’s tog. 2 and 2 = 4 dc.
Pull the thread up and down the 4 dc’s, pull tog. and sew.

Leg: Crochet 3 ch and make a loop with a sl st. Crochet 8 dc around the loop. Continue to crochet 2 dc in each dc = 16 dc. Crochet the next round as follows: 1 dc in the first st, *crochet the next 2 dc tog., 1 dc in the next st*, repeat from *-* until finish round = 11 dc. Crochet 4 rounds with a dc in each st. Pull the thread up and down through the 11 dc’s and pull together. Don’t cut the thread but pull it up through the leg. Later it will be used to sew the leg to the body. Crochet another leg, fill with cotton wool and sew them to the body.

Arm: Crochet 3 ch and make a loop with a sl st. Crochet 6 dc around the loop. Continue to crochet 2 dc in each dc = 12 dc. Crochet the next round as follows: 1 dc in the first st, *crochet the next 2 dc tog., 1 dc in the next st*, repeat from *-* until finish round = 8 dc. Crochet 13 rounds with a dc in each st. Pull the thread through the 8 dc’s and pull together. Don’t cut the thread but pull it up through the arm. Later it will be used to sew the arm to the body. Fill the arm with cotton wool, tighten the thread slightly so the arm gets a little bend. Crochet another arm and sew them to the body approx 1 to 2 rounds below the neck.

Ears: Crochet 1 ear each side of the head as follows: 1 dc in a st, 5 ch, 1 htr in the 3rd ch from hook, 1 tr in the next ch, skip approx 2 rounds and attach the ear to the head with a dc. Sew the thread and repeat for the other side of the head.
Eyes, nose and mouth: Sew with light brown and give the Teddy a personal touch.

Heart: Crochet 2 ch.
1st row: 1 dc in the first ch crochet, turn the piece.
2nd row: 1 ch, 3 dc in the dc from previous row, turn the piece.
3rd row: 1 ch, 2 dc in the first dc, 1 dc in the next dc, 2 dc in the next dc, turn the piece = 5 dc.
4th row: 1 ch, 1 dc in each of the first 2 dc, 2 dc in the next dc, 1 dc in each of the last 2 dc, turn the piece = 6 dc.
5th row: 1 ch, 1 dc in each of the first 3 dc, turn the piece.
6th row: 1 ch, crochet the 3 dc’s tog to 1 dc, cut the thread.
Now crochet a dc in each of the remaining st of the heart, turn the piece. Crochet 1 ch and crochet the next 3 dc tog. to 1 dc, cut and sew the threads. Sew the heart on to the teddy.



The “The trouser man” and “Cock’s comb”
Size: approx 23 cm long

Materials: DROPS Paris from Garnstudio
The dolls weigh less than 50 g
Use remains and choose colours of your own choice (see picture for suggestions)

DROPS crochet hook size 4 mm
Accessories: Cotton wool for filling.

Crochet info: Replace the 1st tr on each row with 3 ch.

THE TROUSERS MAN:

Leg: Crochet 5 ch with hook size 4 mm. Turn the piece and crochet 6 rows with a tr in each st – read crochet info! Put the piece aside and make another one the same.

Body: Put the two legs together and crochet 2 rows with tr over the 10 tr
3rd row: Crochet a tr in each tr but crochet 2 tr in the first and last tr on row = 12 tr.
4th-7th row: Crochet a tr in each tr
8th row: Crochet a tr in each tr but crochet 2 tr in the first and last tr on row = 14 tr.
9th row: Crochet a tr in each tr
10th row: Crochet a tr in each tr but crochet 2 tr in the first and last tr on row = 16 tr.
Repeat row 9 and 10 a total of 20 crochet rows. Crochet a similar piece from the top and down. Sew on the eyes before the 2 pieces are sewn together. NB! Remember to fill with cotton wool before finish sewing it together.

Eyes: Crochet 3 ch and make a loop with a sl st in the first ch. Crochet 6 dc in the loop. On 1 eye crochet 1 more round in another colour with 2 dc in each st . Sew the eyes on to the body approx at row 17th.

COCK’S COMB:

Body: Begin at the top and crochet downwards. Crochet 10 ch with hook size 4 and Paris. Turn the piece and crochet 7 rows with a tr in each st –read crochet info. Put the piece aside. Crochet 5 ch and crochet 4 rows with a tr in each st. Put the 2 pieces together = 15 tr. Crochet 9 rows of tr over the 15 tr. Crochet another piece but laterally reversed. Put the 2 pieces together and sew all around.
Remember to fill with cotton wool before finish sewing. Crochet 1 row with tr at the top of the head.

Eyes: Crochet 3 ch and make a loop with a sl st in the first ch. Crochet 6 dc in the loop. Sew the eyes on to the body approx at row 13th.

Mouth: Crochet 6 ch, turn the piece and crochet 1 dc in each ch. Sew it on to the body below the eyes as a mouth.



OCTOPUS, SUN, TORTOISE, FROG, FISH, DUCK, BALL AND RATTLE:

Materials: DROPS Safran or Muskat from Garnstudio

Each cuddly toy weighs less than 50 g. Use remains and choose the colours you wish (see pictures for suggestions).

DROPS crochet hook size 3 mm for “Safran” or 3.5 mm for “Muskat”

Accessories: Cotton wool for filling.

BIG BALL:
1st round: Crochet 3ch and make a loop with a sl st.
2nd round: Crochet 6 dc around the loop, finish with a sl st in the 1st dc, 1 ch.
3rd round: 2 dc in each dc = 12 dc, finish with a sl st in the 1st dc, 1 ch.
4th round: *1 dc, 2 dc in the next dc*, repeat from *-* finish with a sl st in the 1st dc, 1 ch = 18 dc.
5th round: *2 dc, 2 dc in the next dc*, repeat from *-* finish with a sl st in the 1st dc, 1 ch = 24 dc.
6th round: *3 dc, 2 dc in the next dc*, repeat from *-* finish with a sl st in the 1st dc, 1 ch = 30 dc.
7th round: *4 dc, 2 dc in the next dc*, repeat from *-* finish with a sl st in the 1st dc, 1 ch = 36 dc.
8th round: *5 dc, 2 dc in the next dc*, repeat from *-* finish with a sl st in the 1st dc, 1 ch = 42 dc.

10th- 24th round: 1 dc in each dc, finish with a sl st in the 1st dc, 1 ch
25th round: *6 dc, crochet the 7th and the 8th dc tog. to 1 dc*- see explanation above repeat from *-* finish with a sl st in the 1st dc, 1 ch = 42 dc.
26th round: *5 dc, crochet the 6th and the 7th dc tog. to 1 dc, repeat from *-* finish with a sl st in the 1st dc, 1 ch = 36 dc.
27th round: *4 dc, crochet the 5th and the 6th dc tog. to 1 dc* repeat from *-* finish with a sl st in the 1st dc, 1 ch = 30 dc.
28th round: *3 dc, crochet the 4th and the 5th dc tog. to 1 dc* repeat from *-* finish with a sl st in the 1st dc, 1 ch = 24 dc.
29th round: *2 dc, crochet the 3rd and the 4rd dc tog. to 1 dc* repeat from *-* finish with a sl st in the 1st dc, 1 ch = 18 dc.
Now fill the ball with cotton wool.
30th round: *1 dc, crochet the 2nd and the 3rd dc tog. to 1 dc* repeat from *-* finish with a sl st in the 1st dc, 1 ch = 12 dc.
31th round: Crochet all dc tog. 2 and 2. Cut the thread and sew the hole together.

MIDDLE BALL:
1st – 8th round crochet as big ball, hereafter round 10-14 and then round 26-31.

SMALL BALL:
1st – 6th round crochet as big ball, hereafter round 10-18 and then round 28-31.

FEETS:
1st row: Crochet 6 dc, turn, skip the 1. ch and crochet 4 dc back, 2 ch, turn.
2nd row: 2 dc in each dc, 2 ch, turn.
3rd row: Crochet 1 row of dc, 2 ch, turn.
4th row: 1 dc, 4 ch, 3 tr in the first ch, skip a dc, 1 dc in the next dc, 4 ch, 3 tr in the first ch, skip 2 dc, 1 dc in the next dc, 4 ch, 3 tr in the first ch, skip 1 dc, 1 dc in the last dc.

EYES/ARMS:
1st round: Crochet 3ch and make a loop with a sl st in the first ch..
2nd round: Crochet 6 dc around the loop, finish with a sl st in the 1st dc, 1 ch.
3rd round: 2 dc in each dc = 12 dc, finish with a sl st in the 1st dc, 1 ch.
4th - 7th round: Crochet dc all around, finish with a sl st in the 1st dc, sew the thread tight.

KNOB:
1st round: Crochet 3ch and make a loop with a sl st in the first ch..
2nd round: Crochet 6 dc around the loop, finish with a sl st in the 1st dc.

SPIRAL:
1st row: Crochet 12 ch, turn.
2nd row: Crochet 3 dc in each ch, cut the thread.



OCTOPUS:
Crochet the octopus with Safran, making the body 1 colour and each of the 6 legs different colours.

Body: Crochet 1 big ball
Eyes: Crochet 4 eyes, but crochet only 5 rounds. Sew the eyes to the body evenly distributed at the middle of the ball.
Arms: Crochet 6 arms, but repeat the 7th round until crochet a total of 18th rounds. Sew the arms on to the ball evenly distributed on the 9th round of the ball.
Nose: Crochet 4 knobs and sew them on to the ball in between the eyes on the 13th round.
Spiral: Crochet 1 spiral and sew it on the top of the octopus.



SUN:
Crochet the sun with Safran, making the body 1 colour and the sunbeams (spirals) in 3 different colours, mouth and eyes.

Body: Crochet 1 middle size ball.
Eyes: Crochet 2 knobs and sew them on to the ball as eyes.
Mouth: Crochet 10 ch, turn and crochet dc back, sew on to the ball below the eyes.
Spiral: Crochet 9 spirals and sew them on the ball as sunbeams.



TORTOISE:
Crochet the tortoise with Muskat, making the shell with stripes, 1 spiral for the tale and feet and head the same colour.

Shell: Crochet the shell as a big ball from round 1 to 9. Crochet 2 more rounds, at the same time continue the increases as before = 11 rounds (Crochet 2 pieces = 1 bottom and 1 top shell)
Legs: Crochet 4 legs, using the eyes/arm explanation round 1-7. Fill with cotton wool and crochet the opening tog.
Head: Crochet a big ball round 1 – 3 = 12 dc. Crochet 10 rounds, (1 dc in each dc = 13 rounds in total). Fill with cotton wool and crochet the opening tog.
Eyes: Crochet as knob, but in addition crochet 1 round of 1 dc in each dc, so a total of 3 rounds.
Tale: Crochet 1 spiral.
Assembly: Put the feet, head and tale in between the bottom and top shell. Crochet around the shell with dc, push the hook through all layers so all parts are crochet tog. NB: Fill the shell with cotton wool before it is crochet totally together.



FROG:
Crochet the frog with Safran, one colour for the body and rose for the mouth.

Foot: Crochet 4 feets.
Eyes: Crochet 2 eyes.
Pupils: Crochet 2 knobs and sew them to the eyes as pupils.
Body: Crochet 5 ch, turn, skip the first ch and crochet 4 dc. *2 ch, turn, crochet 1 dc in each dc, but crochet 2 dc in the first and last dc*, repeat from *-* until there are 14 dc. Crocket 28 rows (= top side). Change colour (e.g. to rose for inside the mouth) – crochet 15 rows. Change colour – crochet 28 rows. Now dec. as follows: At each side crochet the 2 outermost dc tog. (see explanation above) on each row until 4 dc left ( = the bottom side). Sew tight and cut the thread. Bend so 1 half of the mouth lay against the bottom side and the other half against the top side. Crochet 2 rows of dc around the frog – through both layers (Do not crochet at the front of the frog). At the same time, in the last round crochet the feet to each side of the body. NB: fill with cotton wool before “closing” the body totally. Sew the eyes at the top of the frog.



FISH:
Crochet the fish with Safran, one colour for the body, red for the mouth and multi colours for the fins.

Body: Crochet 1 big ball, but crochet 2 rounds of dc’s in between each round (this means - crochet 1st and 2nd round as described for big ball, continue to crochet 2 rounds of dc, 3rd round according to pattern for big ball, 2 round of dc, continue until finished 9th round according to pattern for big ball = 23 rounds in total = 48 dc. Continue to crochet 5 rounds of dc = 28 rounds. Split the piece into two parts = 24 dc and crochet 12 rows forth and back, change colour and crochet another 12 rows (=inside the mouth). Repeat for the other 24 dc. Bend so 1 half of the mouth lay against the bottom side and the other half against the top side. Crochet 2 rows of dc around the mouth – through both layers (Do not crochet at the front of the fish).
Eyes: Crochet 2 eyes (but only crochet 5 rounds). Sew the eyes to the top of the fish.
Fins: Crochet 7 spirals. Sew 2 each side as fins and 3 at the back as tales.



DUCK:
Crochet the duck with Safran, one colour for the body, stripes for the dress and the feet, beak and cock’s comb in orange.

Body: Crochet as middle size ball from round 1 – 13, hereafter crochet dc in each dc for another 8 rounds = 42 dc. Put the piece aside.
Dress: Crochet 68 ch and make a loop with a sl st. Crochet 4 rounds with dc in each ch, hereafter crochet 1 round, at the same time dec 6 dc evenly distributed on round (this means crochet approx each 10th and 11th dc tog. – see explanation above. *Crochet 1 round of 1 dc in each dc, hereafter a round dec. 5 dc evenly distributed on round*, repeat from *-* a total of 4 times = 13 rounds in total and 42 dc on round. Put the body inside the dress and crochet the 2 parts tog. with dc in the colour of the dress. Crochet 1 round of dc in each dc. Continue to crochet the last 6 rounds of the middle size ball.
Head: Crochet the head as a small ball until 12 dc left. Now crochet 7 rounds of dc for the beak. Fill the beak and the head with cotton wool. Crochet the beak tog. at the front. Sew the head to the body.
Cock’s comb and feet: Crochet 3 feet and sew 2 of them underneath the biggest ball and 1 at the top of the head for cock’s comb.
Eyes: Crochet 4 eyes according to the knob description, but crochet in addition 1 round with 1 dc in each dc = a total of 3 rounds.



BALL AND RATTLE:
Crochet the 2 toys in Muskat, 1 ball and 1 rattle.

Small ball: Crochet as small ball with stripes. Fill with cotton wool and perhaps a bell, before sewing the ball together. Crochet 5 cm of ch and sew them to the ball so it can hang down.
Rattle: Crochet as a small ball until 12 dc left. Fill with cotton wool and perhaps a bell. Continue to crochet 8 rounds of 1 dc in each dc, hereafter crochet 1 round skipping every other dc. Cut the thread. Fill the handle with cotton wool before sewing the opening together.
