Crochet gauge: 6-sided star measures approx. 18 cm in width on the broadest part.

Crochet tips: Crochet 3 [or 4] tc together as follows: crochet 1st tc, but leave last loop on hook, crochet 2nd tc, but leave last loop on hook, crochet 3rd tc, [but leave last loop on hook, crochet 4th tc] and pull the last loop through all the loops on hook.

Double crochet tips: At the start of row, ch 3 replaces first dc.

Scarf: Make four 6-sided stars and two 5-sided stars. Crochet stars together with the 6-sided stars in the middle and one 5-sided start at each end.

6-sided star: Ch 8 loosely with 2 strands Alpaca and join into a ring with 1 sl st in 1st ch.
Round 1: ch 1, 12 sc in ring, finish with 1 sl st in 1st ch at start of row.
Round 2: 1 sc in first sc, * ch 2, skip over 1 sc, 1 sc in the next sc *, repeat * - * a total of 5 times and finish with 2 ch and 1 sl st in 1st sc at start of row (= 6 ch-loops).
Round 3: 1 sl st in 1st ch-loop, ch 4, crochet 3 tc together in ch-loop, * ch 8, crochet 4 tc together in the next ch-loop *, repeat * - * a total of 5 times and finish with ch 8 and 1 sl st on top of first tc-group at start of row (= 6 ch-loops).
Round 4: ch 1, 11 sc in each ch-loop and 1 sc on top of each tc-group, finish with 1 sl st in ch at start of row.
Round 5: * 1 dc, ch 2, skip over 2 sc, 1 dc, ch 2, skip over 2 sc, 1 dc + ch 3 + 1 dc in the next sc (= center of ch-loop), ch 2, skip over 2 sc, 1 dc in the next sc, ch 2, skip over 2 sc *, repeat * - * a total of 6 times, finish with 1 sl st in the ch 3 crocheted at start of row.
Round 6: ch 1, 1 sc in first ch-loop, * ch 3, 1 sc in the next ch-loop, ch 3, 1 sc in the next ch-loop (= bow with ch 3 from previous row), ch 5, 1 sc in same ch-loop, ch 5, 1 sc in same ch-loop, ch 5, 1 sc in same ch-loop, ch 3, 1 sc in the next ch-loop, ch 3, 1 sc in the next ch-loop, ch 3, 1 sc in the next ch-loop *, repeat * - * a total of 6 times but finish with 1 sl st in 1st sc at start of row (instead of 1 sc in the next ch-loop). Cut yarn and fasten.

5 sided star: Ch 6 loosely with 2 strands Alpaca and join into a ring with 1 sl st in 1st ch.
Round 1: ch 1, 10 sc in ring, finish with 1 sl st in 1st ch at start of row.
Round 2: 1 sc in first sc, * ch 2, skip over 1 sc, 1 sc in the next sc *, repeat * - * a total of 4 times and finish with 1 sl st in 1st sc at start of row (= 5 ch-loops).
Rounds 3 - 6: crochet the same as the 6-sided star but in 5 bows instead of 6.

Assembly: Sew with double strands of Alpaca. Lay two stars side to side and then sew the 4 point bows together – 2 in each corner – then return to center of row between the point bows and sew squares together with two sts. See photo. Knot and fasten yarn neatly.
