And use some left-over goldenrod, olive, cerise and black for eyes and mouth.

DROPS CROCHET HOOK size 5 mm / H/8 – or size needed to get 12 hdc x 12 rows = 10 x 10 cm / 4'' x 4''.

Some poly stuffing for filling the horns.

CROCHET TIP: Replace first hdc on every round with 2 ch. Finish every round with 1 sl st in 2nd ch from beg of round.

WORK IN THE ROUND IN A CIRCLE:
After last sc on the round, continue to next round with 1 sc in next sc (= first sc from previous round).
NOTE: Insert a marker at the beg of round between last sc and 1st sc on round, move the marker downwards when working.

HAT:
The piece is worked top down.
Chain 4 on hook size 5 mm / H/8 with medium blue and form a ring with 1 sl st in first ch.
ROUND 1: READ CROCHET TIP! Work 8 hdc in ch-ring.
ROUND 2: Work 2 hdc in every hdc = 16 hdc.
ROUND 3: * 1 hdc in first hdc, 2 hdc in next hdc *, repeat from *-* the entire round = 24 hdc.
ROUND 4: * 1 hdc in each of the first 2 hdc, 2 hdc in next hdc *, repeat from *-* = 32 hdc.
ROUND 5: * 1 hdc in each of the first 3 hdc, 2 hdc in next hdc *, repeat from *-* = 40 hdc.
ROUND 6: * 1 hdc in each of the first 4 hdc, 2 hdc in next hdc *, repeat from *-* = 48 hdc.
ROUND 7: * 1 hdc in each of the first 5 hdc, 2 hdc in next hdc *, repeat from *-* = 56 hdc.
ROUND 8: Work 1 hdc in every hdc while AT THE SAME TIME inc 0-2-4 hdc evenly on round.
Then work 1 hdc in every hdc until piece measures approx. 18-20-22 cm / 7''-8''-8¾''.
Switch to orange and work 1 round with 1 hdc in every hdc.
Cut the yarn and pull it through the last st and fasten tightly.


BIG EYE:
The eye consists of one small and one big circle that are sewn tog.
Work a big circle as follows: Chain 4 with goldenrod and form a ring with 1 sl st in first ch.
ROUND 1: Read CROCHET TIP! Work 8 hdc in ch-ring, finish with 1 sl st in 2nd ch from beg of round.
ROUND 2: Work 2 hdc in every hdc the entire round = 16 hdc.
ROUND 3: Work 2 hdc in every hdc the entire round = 32 hdc.
Cut the yarn and pull it through the last st.
Work a small circle as follows: Chain 4 with cerise and form a ring with 1 sl st in first ch.
ROUND 1: Work 8 hdc in ch-ring, finish with 1 sl st in 2nd ch from beg of round.
Cut the yarn and pull it through the last st.
Fasten the small circle on the big circle and fasten the entire eye at the front of hat.

SMALL EYE:
Chain 4 with olive and form a ring with 1 sl st in first ch.
ROUND 1: Read CROCHET TIP! Work 8 hdc in ch-ring, finish with 1 sl st in 2nd ch from beg of round.
ROUND 2: Work 2 hdc in every hdc the entire round = 16 hdc.
Cut the yarn and pull it through the last st.
Fasten the eye on the hat with 1 stitch in each of the 16 hdc.

MOUTH:
Chain 40 with black, turn piece.
ROW 1: 1 sc in 3rd ch from hook, 1 sc in each of the next ch 3, * skip ch 3, 1 sc in the next ch 3, ch 3, 1 sc in the next 3 ch *, repeat from *-* 3 times in total, skip ch 3, 1 sc in the next 3 ch and finish with one sl st in last ch.
Cut the yarn and pull it through the last st.
Fasten the mouth at the front of hat.

HORN:
Worked in the round in a circle, top down. Chain 2 with orange.
ROUND 1: Work 3 sc in 1st ch worked - Read WORK IN THE ROUND IN A CIRCLE.
ROUND 2: Work 2 sc in every sc the entire round = 6 sc.
ROUND 3: Work * 1 sc in first sc, 2 sc in next sc *, repeat from *-* the entire round = 9 sc.
ROUND 4: Work * 1 sc in first sc, 2 sc in next sc *, repeat from *-* the entire round and finish with 1 sc in last sc = 13 sc.
ROUND 5: Work 2 sc in first sc and 1 sc in every sc the entire round = 14 sc.
ROUND 6-7: Work 1 sc in every sc the entire round.
ROUND 8: Work 2 sc in first sc and 1 sc in every sc the entire round = 15 sc.
ROUND 9-10: Work 1 sc in every sc the entire round.
ROUND 11: Work 2 sc in first sc and 1 sc in every sc the entire round = 16 sc.
ROUND 12-13: Work 1 sc in every sc and finish with 1 sl st in first sc on round.
Cut the yarn and fasten yarn end from beg (from the top) down towards finishing edge in the opposite side of marker (inc), pull the yarn somewhat to make the horn bend.
Work 2 more horns the same way.
Fill the horns with some poly stuffing and fasten on hat.
