PULLOVER: Gauge: 15 sts x 19 rows with 2 strands Silke-Tweed on larger needles in stockinette stitch = 10 x 10 cm [4" x 4"]. Garter st, when knitting flat: Knit all sts, all rows. Garter st, when knitting in the round: *Rnd 1, knit. Rnd 2, purl.* Repeat from * - *. Knitting tips (armhole and neck): All decs are made from right side! Dec 1 st inside 4 sts in stockinette st at each side. Dec 1 st as follows after 4 edge sts: sl 1, K 1, psso. Dec 1 st as follows before 4 edge sts: K 2 tog. Pattern: See chart M.1 (1 chart = 1 repeat). The pattern is seen from the right side. ------------------------------------------------------------- Front: Cast on 72-76-80-85 sts on smaller needles with Vienna and knit 4 rows garter st. Change to larger needles and 2 strands Silke-Tweed = 1 strand brown + 1 strand dark lilac, and repeat chart 1 to finished measurements. When the piece measures 6-6-7-7 cm [2-⅜"- 2-⅜" - 2-⅜" - 2.75" - 2.75"] inc 1 st at each side every 5 cm [2"] 5 times = 82-86-90-95 sts. When the piece measures 36-37-39-40 cm [14-⅛" - 14.5" - 15.25" - 15.75"] bind off 4-5-6-7 sts at each side for armhole. Then dec 1 st inside 4 edge sts at each side every other row - see knitting tips - 7-7-8-9 times = 60-62-62-63 sts. When the piece measures 52-54-56-58 cm [20.5" - 21.25" - 22" - 22-⅞"] bind off the center 18-18-18-19 sts for the neck. Then dec 1 st inside of 4 sts at each neck edge every other row - see knitting tips - 5 times = 16-17-17-17 sts remain on each shoulder. Bind off when the piece measures 58-60-62-64 cm [22-⅞" - 23-⅝" - 24-⅜" - 25.25"]. Back: Cast on and knit the same as the front. Bind off for armhole as on front and when the piece measures 56-58-60-62 cm [22" - 22-⅞" - 23-⅝" - 24-⅜"] bind off the center 26-26-26-27 sts for the neck. On the next row dec 1 st at each neck edge (dec the outermost st, not inside 4 edge sts as on front) = 16-17-17-17 sts remain on each shoulder. Bind off when the piece measures 58-60-62-64 cm [22-⅞" - 23-⅝" - 24-⅜" - 25.25"]. Sleeve: Cast on 39-40-41-42 sts on smaller needles with Vienna and knit garter st for 12 cm [4.75"]. Change to larger needles and 2 strands Silke-Tweed = 1 strand brown + 1 strand dark lilac, and repeat chart 1 to finished measurements. At the same time when the piece measures 11-12-12-14 cm [4.25" - 4.75" - 4.75" - 5.5"] inc 1 st at each side every 3-2.5-2.5-2 cm [1.25" - 1" - 1" - 0.75"] 12-13-13-14 times = 63-66-67-70 sts. When sleeve measures 47-46-45-45 cm [18.5" - 18-⅛" - 17.75" - 17.75"] bind off for sleeve cap at each side every other row: 3 sts 1-1-1-1 time, 2 sts 4-3-3-3 times, 1 st 0-1-3-4 times, then bind off 2 sts at each side every other row until the piece measures 57-57-57-58 cm [22.5" - 22.5" - 22.5" - 22-⅞"]. Bind off the remaining sts. Assembly: Sew shoulder seams. Pick up approx. 66 to 72 sts around the neck (begin at center front) on smaller double-pointed needles with Vienna; join and knit 8 rows garter st. Then divide the collar at center front and knit garter st back and forth on needles. Bind off when the collar measures 15 cm [5-⅞"]. Sew in sleeves. Sew sleeve and side seams. SCARF: Sizes: approx. 23 x 150 cm [9" x 59"] Materials: DROPS VIENNA from Garnstudio 100 g. col. no. 51 olive. DROPS 8 mm [US 11] needles, or size needed to obtain correct gauge. Gauge: 9 sts x 20 rows in pattern stitch = 10 x 10 cm [4" x 4"]. Garter st, when knitting flat: Knit all sts, all rows. Pattern stitch: Row 1 (right side): K 1, * K 1, yo, sl 1 as if to P *, repeat from * - * to last st, K 1. Row 2: K 1, * yo, sl 1 as if to P, K tog the next st and the yo from the previous row *, repeat from * - * to last st, K 1. Row 3: K 1, * K tog the st and yo from previous row, yo, sl 1 as if to P *, repeat from * - * to last st, K 1. Repeat rows 2-3 (From row 2 the sts with yo is always knit sts. Teyo lies over the st and is K tog with the st.) Scarf: Cast on 21 sts loosely with 2 strands Vienna. Change to 1 strand and knit pattern st - see instructions above. When the piece measures 150 cm [59"] bind off with 2 strands in pattern. GLOVES: Sizes: S/M - M/L Materials: DROPS KARISMA SUPERWASH from Garnstudio 100-100 g. col. no. 04, dark brown. DROPS 2.5 mm [US 1] and 3 mm [US 2] double-pointed needles, or sizes needed to obtain correct gauge. Gauge: 23 sts x 32 rows on larger needles in stockinette st = 10 x 10 cm [4" x 4"]. Rib: * K 1, P 1 *, repeat from * - *. Pattern: See chart (Pattern 5). The pattern is seen from right side. Right glove: Cast on 54-58 sts on smaller double-pointed needles; join and place a marker at the join. Knit 2 cm [0.75"] stockinette st. Knit the next row as follows: * K 2 tog, yo *, repeat from * - * (= the folding row). Knit 2 cm [0.75"] stockinette st - on the last row dec 8 sts evenly distributed = 46-50 sts. Now knit rib for 4 cm [1.5"]. Change to larger double-pointed needles and knit the next row as follows: 2-3 sts stockinette st, Pattern 5 over 20 sts, 2-3 sts stockinette st (these 24-26 sts = back of hand), 1 st stockinette st for thumb (place a marker in this st), 21-23 sts stockinette st = palm of hand. Measure the work from here. Continue with pattern as established. At the same time when the piece measures 1-2 cm [3/8" - 0.75"] inc 1 st for thumb each side of thumb st (st with marker) every 4-3 rows 5-6 times = 56-62 sts - knit the increased sts in stockinette st. Put the 11-13 sts for the thumb on a st holder. Cast on 1 new st over these sts on the next row= 46-50 sts; join and continue until the piece measures 9-10 cm [3.5" - 4"]. Put the 24-26 sts of the back of hand on a st holder = st holder-1 - and the 22-24 sts of the palm of hand on another st holder = st holder-2. Now knit fingers as follows: Little finger: Pick up 5-5 sts from st holder-1 and 4-5 sts from st holder-2 and cast on 2 new sts toward ring finger = 11-12 sts. Join and knit stockinette st until finger measures 5-6 cm [2" - 2-⅜"]. On the next row K 2 tog across row. Pull a strand of yarn through the remaining sts, pull tight and fasten. Put all sts from st holders back on needles; join and knit 3 rows in pattern as before. Then divide sts on st holder-1 and st holder-2 again. Ring finger: Pick up 6-7 sts from st holder-1 and 6-6 sts from st holder-2 and cast on 1 st at each side between fingers = 14-15 sts. Join and knit stockinette st until finger measures 7-8 cm [2.75" - 3-⅛"]. On the next row K 2 tog across row. Pull a strand of yarn through the remaining sts, pull tight and fasten. Middle finger: Pick up 7-7 sts from st holder-1 and 6-7 sts from st holder-2 and cast on 1 st at each side between fingers = 15-16 sts. Join and knit stockinette st until finger measures 8-9 cm [3-⅛" - 3.5"]. On the next row K 2 tog across row. Pull a strand of yarn through the remaining sts, pull tight and fasten. Index finger: Pick up the remaining 6-7 sts from st holder-1 and 6-6 sts from st holder-2 and cast on 2 new sts at middle finger side = 14-15 sts. Join and knit stockinette st until finger measures 6-7 cm [2-⅜" - 2.75"]. On the next row K 2 tog across row, then pull a strand of yarn through the remaining sts, pull tight and fasten. Thumb: Put the 11-13 thumb sts on needles, pick up 3-3 sts at back of thumb = 14-16 sts. Join and knit stockinette st until thumb measures 5-6 cm [2" - 2-⅜"]. On the next row K 2 tog across row, then pull a strand of yarn through the remaining sts, pull tight and fasten. Assembly: Fold wrist edge to wrong side and sew in place. Sew a small st between fingers to close gaps. |
