Knitting Tension: 26 x 34 rows on needles size 2.5 mm in stocking sts = 10 x 10 cm.
Pattern: See diagrams M.1 and M.2.
Garter sts: Knit all rows.
Left wrist warmer:
The piece is knitted back and forth on needle. Loosely cast on 66 sts on needle size 2.5 mm with Alpaca and knit 2 rows in garter sts.
Knit next row as follows from the RS:
3 sts in garter sts, P4, K2, P4, M.1 (= 16 sts), P4, M.2 (= 8 sts), P4, K2, P4, K2, P4, K2, P4 and 3 sts in garter sts. Continue pattern like this with K over K and P over P and 3 sts in garter sts each side. When piece measures approx 22 cm – adjust to after a full repeat of M.1 – knit 2 rows in garter sts and cast off loosely.
Right wrist warmer: Cast on and knit as left wrist warmer, but mirrored, i.e.: 3 sts in garter sts, P4, K2, P4, K2, P4, K2, P4, M.2 (= 8 sts), P4, M.1 (= 16 sts), P4, K2, P4 and 3 sts in garter sts.
Crochet border: Crochet a border along lower and upper edge with crochet hook size 6 mm and Puddel as follows: 1 dc in first st, *3 ch, skip approx 1 cm, 1 dc in next st*, repeat from *-*.
Assembly: Sew tog the wrist warmer in the outer loops of sts. Leave an opening for the thumb approx 3.5 – 4 cm long at the side, approx 5 cm from the top.
