DROPS fall/winter 09/10 collection is very varied. From fine to heavy, garments with texture and patterned. Jackets, sweaters, ponchos, shawls and lots of accessories. The designs are chosen on the basis of an overall assessment, where voting results and accompanying comments have been important.

WOMEN'S SIZES

Crochet gauge: 18 dc in width and approx. 11 rows in height = 10 x 10 cm.

Pattern: See diagrams. On Diagram 3, arrows indicate «midt foran/fram» (center front), «dame/dam» (women), and «barn/børn» (girls).

= 1 ch
= 1 sc
= 1 dc
= 3 dc-tog
= 1 sl st

Crochet tips (for armhole and neck):
Bind off as follows at start of row:
Replace 1 dc with 1 sl st.
Bind off as follows at end of row:
Turn piece when 1 dc remains, and crochet back.

Crochet info: The first dc of each row is replaced by ch 3 and every row ends with 1 dc in the ch 3 from previous row.

Crochet tips (for 3 dc-tog):
Crochet 1 dc, but hold the last loop on the hook, (= 2 loops on hook), 1 new dc in the same st/loop, but hold the last loop on the hook (= 3 loops on hook), 1 new dc in the same st/loop, and now pull the yarn through all 4 loops on hook.

Back: Ch 97-109-121-136-151 (incl. ch 3 to turn with). First row crochet as follows: 1 dc in 4th ch from hook, * skip over 1 ch, 1 dc in each of the following 2 ch *, repeat * - * across row = 64-72-80-90-100 dc, turn the work.
Now crochet 1 dc in each dc (not between them). When the piece measures 8 cm inc at each side by crocheting 1 extra dc in the next to outermost dc at each side. Repeat inc every 6-6-9-9-10 cm 3-3-2-2-2 times more = 72-80-86-96-106 dc.
Put a marker at center back. When the piece measures 33-34-35-36-37 cm bind off for armhole at each side every row – see crochet tips above: 3 dc 1-1-1-2-2 times, 2 dc 1-2-3-3-4 times and 1 dc 4-5-5-6-8 times = 54-56-58-60-62 dc.
When the piece measures 48-50-52-54-56 cm bind off for the neck as follows (now only 2 rows remain): crochet dc-tog until 13-14-14-14-15 dc remain before the marker, turn piece and crochet back (this dec 1 dc for the neck) = 13-13-14-15-15 dc remain on shoulder. Cut yarn and fasten and repeat on the other side of neck. The piece measures approx. 50-52-54-56-58 cm.

Front: Ch 94-106-118-136-148 (incl. ch 3 to turn with). First row crochet as follows: 1 dc in 4th ch from hook, * skip over 1 ch, 1 dc in each of the 2 following ch *, repeat * - * a total of 11-13-15-18-20 times = 24-28-32-38-42 dc.
Now crochet as follows: ch 1, skip over ch 3, in the next ch crochet 3 dc-tog, ch 4 and 3 dc-tog, ch 1, skip over ch 3, * 1 dc in each of the 2 following ch, skip over 1 ch *, repeat * - * a total of 3 times, ch 1, skip over 2 ch, in the next ch crochets 3 dc-tog, ch 4 and 3 dc-tog, ch 1, skip over ch 3, 1 dc in each of the 2 following ch, * skip over 1 ch, 1 dc in each of the 2 following ch,*, repeat * - * a total of 11-13-15-18-20 times = 24-28-32-38-42 dc, turn the work. Continue in pattern as established, with dc at each side and Pattern in Diagram 1 over the center sts. When the piece measures 8 cm inc at each side as on back = 28-32-35-41-45 dc at each side.
Read the entire section before crocheting:
Armhole: When the piece measures 33-34-35-36-37 cm bind off for armhole at each side as on back.
Neck: When the piece measures 41-43-44-46-47 cm bind off for the neck following Diagram 3. Then dec 1 dc at each neck edge every row 4-5-5-6-6 times.
After all armhole and neck shaping is complete 13-13-14-15-15 dc remain on shoulder.
Continue until piece measures 50-52-54-56-58 cm, then cut yarn and fasten. Repeat on the other side of neck.

Assembly: Sew shoulder seams edge to edge. Sew side seams in the same manner.
Crocheted edge: Crochet 1 row of ch-loops around the neck and both armholes as follows: 1 sc in first st, * ch 5, skip over 1 row (or approx. 1 cm), 1 sc in the next st *, repeat * - * and finish with 1 sl st in first sc at start of row.





GIRL'S SIZES:

Sizes: 5/6 years - 7/8 years - 9/10 years - 11/12 years - 13/14 years

Finished measurements:
Bust: 58-64-72-74-78 cm [22-7/8" - 25.25" - 28.25" - 29-1/8" - 30.75"]

Back: Ch 73-82-88-91-97 (incl. ch 3 to turn with).
First row crochet as follows: 1 dc in 4th ch from hook, * skip over 1 ch, 1 dc in each of the following 2 ch *, repeat * - * across row = 48-54-58-60-64 dc, turn the work. Then crochet 1 dc in each dc (do not crochet in between).
When the piece measures 8 cm inc at each side by crocheting 1 extra dc in the next to outermost dc at each side. Repeat inc every 8 cm 1-1-2-2-2 times more = 52-58-64-66-70 dc.
Put a marker at center back.
When the piece measures 26-28-30-31-32 cm bind off for armhole at each side every row: 3 dc 1 time, 2 dc 0-1-1-1-1 time and 1 dc 1-1-3-3-4 times = 44-46-48-50-52 dc.
When the piece measures 36-39-42-44-46 cm bind off for the neck as follows (only 2 rows remain): crochet dc-tog until 9-10-10-11-12 dc remain before the marker, turn piece and crochet back, then dec 1 dc for the neck = 12-12-13-13-13 st remain on shoulder. Cut yarn and fasten and repeat on the other side of neck. The piece measures approx. 38-41-44-46-48 cm.

Front: Ch 69-77-83-85-93 (incl. ch 3 to turn with).
First row crochet as follows: 1 dc in 4th ch from hook, * skip over 1 ch, 1 dc in each of the 2 following ch *, repeat * - * a total of 7-8-9-9-11 times, 1 dc in each of the following 1-2-2-3-1 ch = 17-20-22-23-25 dc.
Establish pattern on the next row as follows: ch 1, skip over 3 ch, in the next ch crochet 3 dc-tog, ch 4 and 3 dc-tog, ch 1, skip over 3 ch, * 1 dc in each of the 2 following ch, skip over 1 ch *, repeat * - * a total of 2 times, ch 1, skip over 2 ch, in the next ch crochet 3 dc-tog, ch 4 and 3 dc-tog, ch 1, skip over 3 ch, 1 dc in each of the 3-4-4-5-3 following ch, * skip over 1 ch, 1 dc in each of the 2 following ch *, repeat * - * a total of 7-8-9-9-11 times = 17-20-22-23-25 dc, turn the work.
Continue in pattern as established with dc at each side and Diagram 2 over the center sts. When the piece measures 8 cm inc at each side as on back = 19-22-25-26-28 dc at each side.
Read the entire section before crocheting:
Armhole: When the piece measures 26-28-30-31-32 cm bind off for armhole at each side as on back.
Neckband: When the piece measures 33-35-38-39-41 cm bind off for the neck following Diagram 3. Then dec 1 dc at each neck edge every row 1-2-2-3-4 times.
After all armhole and neck shaping is complete 12-12-13-13-13 dc remain on shoulder.
Continue until piece measures 38-41-44-46-48 cm, then cut yarn and fasten. Repeat on the other side of neck.
