Crochet gauge: 7 tr x 2 rows = approx. 10 x 8 cm.

Poncho: The poncho is crocheted in the round from the neck down. Note: Double-double crochet (ddc) has 3 yos on hook (one more than tr (= treble crochet).
Ch 96 (120) and join into a ring with 1 sl st.

1st row: ch 3 (= 1 dc), * skip over 1 ch, 1 dc in the next ch *, repeat * - * around row and finish with 1 sl st in the ch 3 at start of row = 48 (60) dc.

2nd row: ch 4 (= 1 dc + ch 1), 1 dc in first dc, * ch 4, skip over 3 dc, in the next dc crochet 1 dc, ch 1, 1 dc *, repeat * - *, skip over the last 3 dc and finish with ch 4 and 1 sl st in ch 3 at start of row = 12 (15) dc-groups.

3rd row: ch 4, 1 dc in first ch, ch 1, 1 dc in same ch, * ch 4, skip over 4 ch, in the next ch crochet 1 dc, ch 1, 1 dc, ch 1 and 1 dc *, repeat * - * a total of 11 (14) times and finish with ch 4 and 1 sl st in the ch 3 at start of row.

4th row: ch 5 (= 1 tr + ch 1), 1 tr in first ch, ch 1, in the next ch crochet 1 tr, ch 1, 1 tr, * ch 5, skip over 4 ch, in the next ch crochet 1 tr, ch 1, 1 tr, ch 1, in the next ch crochet 1 tr, ch 1, 1 tr *, repeat * - * a total of 11 (14) times and finish with ch 5 and 1 sl st in the ch 4 at start of row.

5th row: ch 5 (= 1 tr + ch 1), 1 tr in first ch, ch 2, skip over 1 ch, in the next ch crochet 1 tr, ch 1 and 1 tr, * ch 5, skip over 5 ch, in the next ch crochet 1 tr, ch 1 and 1 tr, ch 2, skip over 1 ch, in the next ch crochet 1 tr, ch 1 and 1 tr *, repeat * - * a total of 11 (14) times and finish with ch 5 and 1 sl st in the ch 4 at start of row.

8th row: sl st to the first ch, ch 5 (= 1 ddc), 2 ddc in same ch, ch 3, skip over 3 ch, 3 ddc in the next ch, * ch 6, skip over 6 ch, 3 ddc in the next ch, ch 3, skip over 3 ch, 3 ddc in the next ch *, repeat * - * a total of 11 (14) times and finish with ch 6 and 1 sl st in the ch 5 at start of row.

9th row: ch 5 (= 1 ddc), 1 ddc in each of the 2 following ddc, ch 3, skip over 3 ch, 1 ddc in each of the 3 following ddc, * ch 6, skip over 6 ch, 1 ddc in each of the 3 following ddc, ch 3, skip over 3 ch, 1 ddc in each of the 3 following ddc *, repeat * - * a total of 11 (14) times and finish with ch 6 and 1 sl st in the ch 5 at start of row.

Repeat 9th row until piece measures approx. 35 (38) cm (= approx. 11 (12) rows), or to desired length. Cut yarn and fasten.
