Gauge: One blossom measures approx. 9 cm in diameter.

Blossom: Crochet as follows: Ch 4 and join into a ring with a sl st in the first ch – lay the end of the yarn around the ring and crochet over it so you fasten it in at the same time.
round 1: *ch 8, 1 sc in ring*, repeat *-* a total of 6 times.
Cut yarn and fasten by running yarn through and around the ring.

Shawl: Crochet blossoms and sew together according to the diagram for Model No. 13 on page 16 of Drops No. 86.
Start at lower edge of diagram with blossom E - see instructions above. Then crochet blossom D but in the last ch-loop (1 blade) on the row crochets the two blossoms together as follows: ch 4 (=½ blade), 1 sc around one of the blades of blossom E, ch 4 (=½ blade), 1 sc in the ring of blossom D. Continue to crochet blossoms in colors according to diagram, and join as indicated by lines on the diagram.

HAT:

Materials: ESKIMO
100 gr nr 20, lilac
+ small amount of brown nr 3

DROPS 7 mm [US K] crochet hook, or size needed to obtain correct gauge.

Gauge: 9 sts x 6.5 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Crochet tips: At the beginning of each round, ch 3 replaces 1 dc. At the end of each round end with 1 sl st in the ch 3 at the beginning of round.

Hat: Ch 5 with lilac and join into a ring with a sl st in first ch.
Round 1: 12 dc in ring.
Round 2: 2 dc in each dc from previous round = 24 dc.
Round 3: *1 dc in first dc from previous row, 2 dc in the next dc*, repeat *-* = 36 dc.
Round 4: *1 dc in each of 2 dc from previous row, 2 dc in next dc*, repeat *-* = 48 dc.
After round 4, the piece measures approx. 14 cm in diameter.
Crochets 7 rows dc without increasing. Cut yarn and fasten. Crochet a blossom with brown – see instructions under Shawl – and fasten blossom on hat.
