PATTERN: See diagram M.1. The diagram shows 1 pattern repeat. The entire pattern is worked in stocking st.

BASQUE HAT:
Worked in the round. Cast on 112-120 sts on circular needle size 3 mm with off-white. K 2 rounds and continue in rib K2/P2 for 4 cm. Change to circular needle size 3.5 mm and continue in M.1 (= 14-15 repeats across the round). REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION! After M.1 piece measures approx 24 cm and there are 28-30 sts on needle. K 1 round with light beige brown, AT THE SAME TIME K2 tog all the way round = 14-15 sts. Cut the thread, pull it through remaining sts, tighten and fasten.
