Moss st:
Row 1: * K1, P1 *, repeat from *-*.
Row 2: P over K and K over P.
Repeat row 2.
SCARF
Worked back and forth on needle. Cast on18 sts on needle size 7 mm [US10½] with 2 threads. Work moss st – see above. Remember the knitting gauge! When piece measures 12 cm [4 ¾”] divide the piece in 2 and continue as follows to create hole: Work moss st back and forth on 9 sts until piece measures 19 cm [7½”].
Slip sts on stitch holder and now work moss on the remaining 9 sts until the 2 pieces are the same length (hole measures approx 7 cm [2 ¾”]). On next row work moss st on all 18 sts. Continue in moss st until piece measures 80 cm [31½”]. Bind off.
