Materials: DROPS Alpaca
100 g for both sizes colour no 2921, cerise
50 g for both sizes colour no 3620, red
50 g for both sizes colour no 8903, black
50 g for both sizes colour no 0100, off-white

DROPS double pointed and circular needle (40 cm) size 3.5 mm – or size needed to get 23 sts x 30 rows in stocking st with 2 or 3 threads Alpaca = 10 x 10 cm.

Note: This pattern is written in British English.
All measurements in charts are in cm. For conversion from cm to inch - click here.

Pattern: See diagram M.1 – diagram shows 1 pattern repeat and the entire pattern is worked in stocking st.

Hat: Worked in the round, first with 3 threads, then with 2 threads. Change to double pointed needles as you near the top.
Cast on 120-128 sts on needle size 3.5 mm with 3 threads black Alpaca. K 4 rounds and continue in M.1 – see above. Remember the knitting tension! After 1 vertical repeat of M.1 continue in 3 threads cerise and when piece measures 15 cm continue in 2 threads red. At the same time dec 8 sts evenly on round = 112-120 sts. Insert 8 Marking Threads (MT) with 14-15 sts between each MT. Now dec 1 st after each MT on every 3rd round 4-6 times, then on every other round 5-5 times and then on every round 4-2 times = 8-16 sts. On next round K all sts tog 2 by 2. Cut the thread, pull through remaining sts and fasten. Hat measures approx 15 cm.

All patterns are carefully reviewed, but we must make reservation for possible mistakes. All patterns are translated from Norwegian and you can always check the original pattern for measurements and calculations.
