Materials: DROPS Cotton Viscose, from Garnstudio
100 g for both sizes, color no 27, lilac

DROPS double pointed needles size 3.5 mm [US 4] - or size needed to obtain 20 sts x 36 rows in pattern = 10 x 10 cm [4’’ x 4’’].

DROPS double pointed needles size 3 mm [US 2or3] - for Rib.

Note: This pattern is written in American English.
All measurements in charts are in cm. For conversion from cm to inch - click here.
There are different terms for crocheting in British and American English.

Garter st, in the round: K 1 round, P 1 round.

Hat: Cast on 105-110 sts on needle size 3 mm [US 2or3] with 2 threads Cotton Viscose. Work 1 round stocking st and continue in Rib, K2/P3. When piece measures 5 cm [2”] adjust number of sts to 102-110 sts and change to needle size 3.5 mm [US 4]. Continue with 1 thread.
Round 1: *1 YO, K2 tog*, repeat from *-*.
Round 2: K.
Repeat round 1 and 2 until piece measures 24-25 cm [9½” - 9.75”]. Now continue in garter st – see above - at the same time dec 10 sts evenly on every other round a total of 3 times = 72-80 sts. Now work 2 rounds, knitting all sts tog 2 by 2 = 18-20 sts. Cut the thread and pull through remaining sts. Tighten thread and fasten.
