We are now sending the new fall/winter catalogs to our DROPS dealers. They are printed in a limited edition and and each catalog costs only 1£/$2 over the counter and 2£/$4 by mail order. DROPS fall/winter 09/10 collection is very varied. From fine to heavy, garments with texture and patterned. Jackets, sweaters, ponchos, shawls and lots of accessories. The designs are chosen on the basis of an overall assessment, where voting results and accompanying comments have been important.

Note: This pattern is written in British English.

Crochet tension: 12 dc on 10 cm in width with 2 threads.
Crochet tips: Always substitute first dc in beg of row with 1 ch.Decreasing tip: Dec at beg and end of each row by crocheting 2 dc tog to 1 as follows: Crochet 1 dc, but wait pulling through last sts (= 2 sts on crochet hook), then crochet next dc but when last pull through is made, pull yarn through all sts on crochet hook – now 1 sts is decreased.

Head band: Read UDS/UK above! Crochet 13 ch (incl 1 ch to turn with) on crochet hook size 6 mm with 2 threads light grey blue. Crochet 1 dc in 2nd ch from crochet hook. Continuing crochet 1 dc in each ch = 12 dc. Continue with 1 dc in each dc – read Crochet tip – until piece measures approx 50 cm (or desired length). Cut yarn. Sew short sides tog at outermost edge on back.

Ear flaps: Crochet on hook size 6 mm with 2 threads light grey blue. Start by crocheting approx 5 cm from seam mud back as follows:
1st row: 16 dc along bottom edge on head band, turn.
2nd row: 1 dc from each of the 16 dc from previous row. Continuing, crochet 1 dc in each dc, at the same time as dec 1 dc at beg and end of each row – read Decreasing tips. Repeat decrease until there are 6 dc left. Now 7 rows has been crochet. Repeat on other side.

Edge: Crochet on hook size 6 mm with 2 threads grey blue around head band at bottom edge and around ear flaps as follows: Start in seam mid back, 1 dc in sts. Continuing, crochet 1 dc in each sts, but crochet 2 dc in outermost corner on ear flaps, finish with 1 sl st in 1st sl st at beg on round. Crochet 1 round more. Repeat this at edges of head band. Cut thread and sew.
