Knitting tension: 17 sts x 22 rows on needles size 4.5 mm in stocking sts = 10 x 10 cm.
Moss sts: 1st row: *K1, P1*, repeat from *-*.
2nd row: K over P, and P over K. Repeat the 2nd. row.
Button hole: Cast off for button holes at the right front band: 1 button hole = Cast off the 2nd st from the mid front edge. On the returning row cast on a new st over the cast off st.
Cast off for button holes when the piece measures:
Size S: 5, 10, 15, 20 and 25 cm
Size M: 6, 11, 16, 22 and 27 cm
Size L: 6, 12, 18, 24 and 29 cm
Size XL: 6, 12, 18, 24 and 30 cm
Size XXL: 6, 12, 19, 26 and 32 cm
Measurement tip: Because of the weight of the yarn, all measurements should be made whilst the garment is hanging.

Back piece: Cast on 64-70-78-86-96 sts (incl. 1 edge st each side) on needles size 4 mm with Silke-Alpaca. Knit in moss sts – see explanation above until the piece measures 6 cm. Change to needles size 4.5 mm and knit in stocking sts until finish. At the same time when the piece measures 6 cm inc. 1 st each side on every 5 cm a total of 3 times = 70-76-84-92-102 sts. When the piece measures 18-19-20-21-22 cm cast off for the armholes each side on every other row as follows: 3 sts 1-1-1-1-2 times, 2 sts 0-1-2-3-3 times and 1 st 2-2-2-3-4 times = 60-62-66-68-70 sts. When the piece measures 33-35-37-39-41 cm cast off the mid 26-28-30-30-32 sts for the neck. Continue to cast off 1 st each side on the following row towards the neck = 16-16-17-18-18 sts left for each shoulder. Cast off remaining sts when the piece measures 35-37-39-41-43 cm.

Right front: Cast on 34-37-41-45-50 sts (incl. 1 edge st each side and 8 front band sts) on needles size 4 mm with Silke-Alpaca. Cast off for button holes – see explanation above. Knit in moss sts over all sts – see explanation above until the piece measures 6 cm. Change to needles size 4.5 mm and knit in stocking sts, but continue to knit the 8 front band sts in moss sts throughout. At the same time when the piece measures 6, 11 and 16 cm inc. 1 st at the side = 37-40-44-48-53 sts. When the piece measures 18-19-20-21-22 cm cast off for the armhole each at the side as done for the back piece = 32-33-35-36-37 sts. When the piece measures 27-29-31-32-34 cm put 8-9-10-10-11 sts from the mid front on a thread or stitch holder for the neck. Continue to cast off for the neck on every other row: 2 sts 2 times, 1 st 4 times = 16-16-17-18-18 sts left for the shoulder. Cast off when the piece measures 35-37-39-41-43 cm.

Left front: Knit as the right front, but reverse.

Sleeve: Cast on 44-46-48-50-52 sts (incl. 1 edge st each side) on needles size 4 mm with Silke-Alpaca. Knit in moss st – see explanation above until the piece measures 6 cm. Change to needles size 4.5 mm and knit in stocking sts until finish. When the piece measures 9 cm inc 1 st each side on every 5-5-4-3-3 cm a total of 5-5-6-8-8 times = 54-56-60-66-68 sts. When the piece measures 33-33-32-32-32 cm cast off for the sleeve cap each side on every other row: 3 sts 1 time, 2 sts 2-2-2-3-3 times and 1 st 3-3-4-3-3 times, continue to cast off 2 sts each side until the piece measures 40-40-40-41-41 cm, then cast off 3 sts each side, 1 time. Cast off remaining sts when the piece measures 41-41-41-42-42 cm.

Assembly: Sew the shoulder seams. Sew in the sleeves. Sew the sleeve and side seams inside 1 edge st. Sew the buttons on.

Neck edge: Pick up 70-80 sts (divisible with 2) around the neck (incl. of the sts on the thread or stitch holder) on needles size 4 mm. Knit 3 rows of moss sts. Cast off with P over K and K over P.
