Crochet DROPS heart-shaped table mat and serviette ring in ”Cotton Viscose”, ”Vienna” and ”Glitter”.
TABLE MAT:
Measurements: Width: approx 40 cm where widest. Materials, 1 table mat: DROPS COTTON VISCOSE 200 g colour no 08, cerise And use: DROPS GLITTER 2 spools colour no 04, pink And use: DROPS VIENNA 50 g colour no 28, cerise SERVIETTE RING: Materials: DROPS VIENNA 50 g colour no 28, cerise. And use: DROPS GLITTER 2 spools colour no 04, pink And use: DROPS COTTON VISCOSE 50 g colour no 08, cerise. + a little cotton wool for the heart. NOTE: If making the table mat there will be enough remnants to make the serviette ring. DROPS CROCHET HOOK size 3.5 mm – or size needed to get 18 dc x 21 rows with 2 threads Cotton Viscose + 2 threads Glitter or 1 thread Vienna + 2 threads Glitter = 10 x 10 cm.

DECREASING TIP-1: Dec 1 dc as follows: Insert hook in st, pull yarn through, insert hook in the next st, pull yarn through, 1 YO and pull yarn through all 3 loops on hook.
DECREASING TIP-2: Dec 2 dc as follows: Insert hook in st, pull yarn through, insert hook in the next st, pull yarn through, insert hook in next st, 1 YO, and pull yarn through all 4 loops on hook. ---------------------------------------------------------- TABLE MAT: Crochet 48 loose ch (includes 1 ch to turn with) with crochet hook size 3.5 mm and 2 threads Cotton Viscose + 2 threads Glitter. ROW 1: 1 dc in 2nd ch from hook, then 1 dc in each of the next 6 ch, * skip 1 ch, 1 dc in each of the next 7 ch *, repeat from *-* = 42 dc. Turn piece. ROW 2: 1 ch, then 1 dc in each dc. Repeat row 2 until piece is square, i.e. approx 23 x 23 cm, insert a marker at the top of the side opposite the hook - do not cut the threads. LOOP-PART 1: On next row dec 1 dc each side – SEE DECREASING TIP-1 – and repeat the dec on every 3rd row another 2 times, on every other row 3 times and on every row 5 times. Now dec 2 dc each side on the next 2 rows – SEE DECREASING TIP-2 = 12 dc left, cut the thread. LOOP-PART 2: Crochet 42 dc from marker and down to cast on row. Continue as described for loop-part 1. BORDER: Crochet a border round the heart with 1 thread Vienna + 2 threads Glitter and crochet hook size 3.5 mm as follows: 1 dc between loop-part 1 and loop-part 2, * 4 ch, 2 tr in first ch, skip approx 1.5 cm, 1 dc *, repeat from *-*, and finish with 1 sl st in first dc. ---------------------------------------------------------- SERVIETTE RING: Crochet 12 ch (includes 1 ch to turn with) with crochet hook size 3.5 mm and 1 thread Vienna + 2 threads Glitter. ROW 1: 1 dc in 2nd ch from hook, then 1 dc in each of the next 2 ch, * skip 1 ch, 1 dc in each of the next 3 ch *, repeat from *-* = 9 dc. ROW 2: 1 ch, then 1 dc in each dc. Repeat row 2 until piece is square, i.e. approx 5 x 5 cm, insert a marker at the top of the side opposite the hook - do not cut the threads. LOOP-PART 1: On next row dec 1 dc each side – SEE DECREASING TIP-1. On next row work 1 dc in each st, then repeat the dec on each of the next 2 rows = 3 dc left, cut the thread. LOOP-PART 2: Crochet 9 dc from marker and down to cast on row. Continue as described for loop-part 1. ASSEMBLY: Make 2 identical hearts. Place them on top of each other with a little cotton wool between them and crochet tog with 2 threads Cotton Viscose + 2 threads Glitter as follows: 1 dc through both layers between loop-part 1 and loop-part 2, * 3 ch, 1 dc in first ch, skip approx 1 cm, 1 dc *, repeat from *-* and finish with 1 sl st in first dc. LOOP: Crochet 20 loose ch with 2 threads Cotton Viscose. Work 1 dc in each ch on return row. Attach loop to the back of heart. DROPS number 0-533
