We post the patterns continuously as they are being proofread and completed. The designs have been selected based on your votes and comments. The collection is very summery with plenty of delightful details such as flounces, laces and puff sleeves. You’ll also find a number of maritime inspired designs. There’s is something for everyone!

Note: This pattern is written in American English.
All measurements in charts are in cm. For conversion from cm to inch - click here.
There are different terms for crocheting in British and American English.

KNITTING TIP: Work all YO into back of loop to avoid a hole.

STRIPE PATTERN: * 2 rounds off-white, 4 rounds red, 2 rounds off-white, 6 rounds red, 2 rounds off-white, 2 rounds red *, repeat from *-*.

FELTING: To avoid the case felting tog during wash, attach a small plastic bag inside the top before putting it in the washing machine.
Wash case at 40 degrees C/104F with a detergent free of enzymes and optical bleach, with normal spin, but no pre-wash.
After wash shape the case while still wet, and leave to dry flat.

POINTED NEEDLE CASE:
Worked in the round on double pointed needles.
Cast on 8 sts on needle size 9 mm [US 13] with red.
ROUND 1: * K2, 1 YO *, repeat *-* = 12 sts. SEE KNITTING TIP!
ROUND 2: * K3, 1 YO *, repeat *-* = 16 sts.
ROUND 3: * K4, 1 YO *, repeat *-* = 20 sts.
ROUND 4: * K5, 1 YO *, repeat *-* = 24 sts.
ROUND 5: * K6, 1 YO *, repeat *-* = 28 sts.
ROUND 6: * K7, 1 YO *, repeat *-* = 32 sts.
Work 6 rounds red stockinette st and now continue in stripe pattern – SEE ABOVE. When piece measures 70 cm [27½’’] bind off the first 15 sts = 17 sts left on needle.

FLAP: Continue back and forth on needle in red stockinette st, AT THE SAME TIME on row 4 dec 1 st each side by K2 tog inside 1 edge st. Repeat the dec on every 4th row until there are 3 sts left on needle. Cast on 12 new sts at the end of next row (= loop), and then bind off all sts.

ASSEMBLY: Sew loop to the other end of bind off row. Run a thread through sts on cast on row, tighten hard and fasten to close the case at the bottom.
Felt case in washing machine – see above.
Sew on button after felting.

CIRCULAR NEEEDLE CASE:
Worked in the round on double pointed needles.
Cast on 40 sts on double pointed needles size 9 mm [US 13] with red. Work 6 rounds stockinette st and continue in stripe pattern – SEE ABOVE. When piece measures 38 cm [15’’] bind off the first 19 sts = 21 sts left.

FLAP: Continue back and forth on needle in red stockinette st, AT THE SAME TIME on row 4 dec 1 st each side by K2 tog inside 1 edge st. Repeat the dec on every other row until there are 3 sts left on needle. Cast on 12 new sts at the end of next row (= loop), and then bind off all sts.

ASSEMBLY: Sew loop to the other end of bind off row. Sew case tog at the bottom, edge to edge to avoid a chunky seam. Felt case in washing machine – see above.
Sew on button after felting.
