STOCKING: Worked back and forth on needle from bottom to top, and sewn tog mid front and under foot afterwards.
Cast on 52 sts on needle size 9 mm [US 13] with Eskimo. Work stockinette st, AT THE SAME TIME after 2 rows cast on new sts each side at the end of every row: 3 sts 1 time, 2 sts 1 time and 1 st 3 times = 68 sts.
REMEMBER THE KNITTING GAUGE!
When piece measures 10 cm [4’’] bind off each side at the beg of every row: 1 st 4 times, 2 sts 2 times and 3 sts 1 time = 46 sts. When piece measures 45 cm [17¾”] change to needle size 7 mm [US 10½] and Puddel.
K 1 row from RS, AT THE SAME TIME inc 20 sts evenly = 66 sts. Continue in stockinette st until piece in Puddel measures 17 cm [6 ¾”], bind off LOOSELY.
ASSEMBLY: Sew sock tog mid front and under foot, in outer loops of sts.
STRAP: Beg mid back and pick up 4 sts with Puddel towards the left. Work stockinette st back and forth on needle for 30 cm [11¾”], bind off and sew strap to the right of mid back.
FELTING: Wash sock at 40 degrees C/104F with a detergent free of enzymes and optical bleach, with normal spin, but no pre-wash.
After wash shape the sock while still wet, and leave to dry flat.
