Pattern: English translations for the wording in the diagram are given at the bottom of this pattern, and they are given in the vertical order in which they appear in the diagram.

Garter sts (back and forth on needles): Knit all stitches on every row.

Rib-1: * K2, P 6 *, repeat *-*
Rib-2: * K2, P 2 *, repeat *-*

Legwarmers: Knit piece back and forth. Cast on 70 sts on needle size 4,5 mm [US 7] with 2 threads Alpaca. P1 row on WS, then work according to diagram M.1. After M.1 there are 56 sts on needle. P1 row on WS. Then work next row like this from RS: 5 sts in garter sts, P 3, M.2 (=16 sts), P 3, rib-1 over the following 24 sts and end with 5 sts in garter sts.
Continue like this until M.2 is repeated 3 times in height. Now work M.3. After M.3 K1 row from RS, then continue with rib-2. When piece measures 32 cm [12½’’] P1 row on WS, and then bind off loosely.
Sew tog with stitch seam from RS.
Knit one more legwarmer.

English translations for the diagram:
= K from RS, P from WS
= P from RS, K from WS
= no stitch, skip this square
= Bobble – work like this from RS: K1, YO, K1, YO, K1 in the same st (= 5sts), turn piece. Work 4 rows in stocking sts over these 5 sts. Then slip 2nd st on right needle over first st, then 3rd st over first st, then 4th st over first st and at last 5th st over first st (= 1 st remains)
= slip 3 sts on cable needle in front of work, P1, K 3 from cable needle
= slip 1 st on cable needle behind work, K3, P1 from cable needle
= slip 3 sts on cable needle behind work, K3, K 3 from cable needle
= P 2 tog

18 rows = 8 cm [3.15 inch]
