Classic mohair yarn with long fibers were very popular during the 80s knitting boom and are still very popular. Vienna is a warm and soft yarn that can be used all year. The yarn has a light center thread on the the light colors and a black tie wire on the dark colors. The tie wire in polyester is twisted around the long-haired mohair fibers and makes the yarn durable. It also prevents shedding and to hold shape well.

DROPS Vienna belongs to yarn group D and therefore has the same gauge/tension as DROPS Symphony. This yarn has been a part of our range since the early 80s, has a broad pattern of support, also lots of lovely designs in retro patterns.
