DROPS CROCHET HOOK SIZE 5.5 mm/I/9 – or size needed to get 3.5 dc-groups x 8 rows = 4'' x 4'' (10 x 10 cm).

CROCHET INFO:
Work 3 ch (= 1 dc) at beg of every round. Finish every round with 1 sl st in 3rd ch from beg of round.

INC dc-GROUP:
Work 3 dc around ch-space, ch 1, 3 dc around same ch-space.

PONCHO:
Worked in the round, top down.

Work 94-102-102 LOOSE ch on hook size 5.5 mm with Big Delight and form a ring with 1 sl st in first ch. The ring should measure 72-78-78 cm / 28½"-30 3/4"-30 3/4".
ROUND 1: Work 1 sc in every ch on round and finish with 1 sl st in first sc at beg of round = 94-102-102 sc.
ROUND 2: Beg in one side (= shoulder) as follows: 3 ch (= 1 dc) - READ CROCHET INFO, 1 dc in each of the next 2 sc, ch 1, skip 1 sc, * 1 dc in each of the next 3 sc, ch 1, skip 1 sc *, repeat from *-* 4-4-4 more times, in next sc work 3 dc, 1 ch (= tip mid front), in next sc work 3 dc, ch 1, skip 1 sc, * 1 dc in each of the next 3 sc, ch 1, skip 1 sc *, repeat from *-* 10-11-11 more times, in next sc work 3 dc, 1 ch (= tip mid back), in next sc work 3 dc, ch 1, skip 1 sc, * 1 dc in each of the next 3 sc, ch 1, skip 1 sc *, repeat from *-* 4-5-5 more times and finish with 1 sl st in 3rd ch at beg of round = 11-12-12 dc-groups between each tip. Finish with 1 sl st in each of the first 2 dc and 1 sl st in first ch-space.
ROUND 3: 3 ch (= 1 dc), 2 dc around same ch-space, ch 1, * 3 dc around next ch-space, 1 ch *, repeat from *-* 4-4-4 more times, work INC dc-GROUP - see explanation above, around ch-space at the tip mid front. Then work as follows: ch 1, * 3 dc around next ch-space, 1 ch *, repeat from *-* 11-12-12 more times, work an INC dc-GROUP around ch-space in the tip mid back, then continue with ch 1, * 3 dc around next ch-space, 1 ch *, repeat from *-* 5-6-6 more times and finish with 1 sl st in 3rd ch at beg of round = 12-13-13 dc-groups between each tip. REMEMBER THE CROCHET GAUGE!
From ROUND 4 until finished measurements: Continue to work as explained above while AT THE SAME TIME working 1 inc dc-group in each tip on every round (i.e. there is 1 dc-group more between each tip for every round).

When piece measures approx. 52-55-58 cm / 20½"-21½"-22 3/4" from neck and down along the shoulder fasten off.

FRINGES:
Cut 2 lengths of yarn of 32 cm / 12½''. Place them double and thread the loop through the middle of the 3 dc in a dc-group on round approx. 19 cm / 7½'' from bottom edge. Repeat the same way in every dc-group around the entire round.

TWINED STRING:
Cut 4 lengths of 5 metres/5.5yds each with Big Delight. Twine the strands tog until they resist, fold the string double so that it twines again. Tie a knot approx. 15 cm / 6'' from each end. Cut 4 strands of approx. 30 cm / 11 3/4'', and thread them through the knot, to that tassel at the bottom is thicker. Tie another knot over the first knot to tighten the loose strands. Beg mid front of neck and thread string over and under 1 and 1 dc the entire round.

DETACHABLE COLLAR:
Worked in the round. Work 104 LOOSE ch on hook size 5.5 mm with Big Delight and form a ring with 1 sl st in first ch. The ring should measure 80 cm / 31½''.
ROUND 1: Work 1 sc in every ch on round and finish with 1 sl st in first sc at beg of round = 104 sc.
ROUND 2: 3 ch (= 1 dc) - READ CROCHET INFO, 1 dc in each of the next 2 sc, ch 1, skip 1 sc, * 1 dc in each of the next 3 sc, ch 1, skip 1 sc *, repeat from *-* 24 more times, finish with 1 sl st in 3rd ch from beg of round. Finish with 1 sl st in each of the first 2 dc and 1 sl st in first ch-space.
ROUND 3: ch 3, (= 1 dc), 2 dc in same ch-space, ch 1, * 3 dc around next ch-space, 1 ch *, repeat from *-* 24 more times and finish with 1 sl st in 3rd ch from beg of round. REMEMBER THE CROCHET GAUGE!
Continue as explained on 3rd round until collar measures 20 cm / 8''. Now work an edge with sc as follows: Work ch 1, 1 sc in each of the next 2 dc, * 1 sc around next ch, 1 sc in each of the next 3 dc *, repeat from *-* until 1 ch remains, 1 sc around ch, finish with 1 sl st in first ch on round. Fasten off.
