Dear Mrs Rehman, the number of chains you will crochet for armhole is the same as the number of sts you will skip. Count how many sts you have from corner to middle of side and crochet this number of chain for armhole. On next round after chains, crochet pattern in the chain-spaces as before, check previous rows to have the correct number of sts (+ inc in the corner). Happy crocheting!

Maybe a dotted line on the diagram and a note about it would help.

Dear Mrs Hohenstein, to shape armholes, work to 1st corner, work 3 dc+3ch+3 dc in corner, then you will work a chain to shape the hole for the sleeve as follows: count number of sts from the 1st corner to the middle of side between 1st and 2nd corner and chain this number of sts, continue working as before from middle of this side to 2nd corner, continue as before to the 3rd corner, then work as before from the corner to the mid of side between 3rd and 4th corner, you will now skip the next sts to the 4th corner and replace these skipped sts by a chain of the number of skipped sts. Finish round as before. Happy crocheting!

Number of chains will depend of number of sts you will skip - count the number of sts skipped to the middle between both corners and chain this number. Happy crocheting!

Dear Mrs De Maria, when working armhole, work as before until first corner, then work 3 dc+3 ch+ 3 dc in corner (as before), then crochet a ch to create armhole (number of ch = number of sts skipped from 1st corner to the middle of the side between 1st and 2nd corner), and continue as before and repeat armhole between 3rd and 4th corner: work from 3rd corner as before to middle of side between both corners, ch same number of ch as for 1st armhole and 3dc,3ch,3dc in 4th corner, then work as before to the beg of round. Happy crocheting!

Dear Mrs De Maria, on 1st round of sleeve, work around armhole, ie in last row on square (skipped sts when working armhole) + in the ch/1st row after armhole and work around 1 dc in each ch-space with 3 ch between each dc. Happy crocheting!

13.10.2014 kl. 23:49:DROPS Design answered:
Rd vergleichen.

Is there any sizing guidance for these patterns? I am not sure how S/M/L etc relates to UK or Euro dress sizes.
04.10.2014 kl. 10:55:DROPS Design answered:
Dear Mrs Kane, you will find at the bottom of the pattern a measurement chart with all measures taken flat from side to side. Compare these (eg back piece between armholes) to a similar garment you like the shape to find out the matching size. Happy knitting!

I have been crocheting for a little over a year now and I don't understand the bottom diagram. What are all the numbers such as 56-56-56-56-56? Also, what are the vertical lines to the left? (along the sides) I would appreciate your help because I asked a couple friends of mine that have crocheting a long time and they didn't have the answer either. HaHa Eva
24.09.2014 kl. 23:10:DROPS Design answered:
Dear Eva, the bottom chart shows all measurement for each sizes, the 56 cm (in all sizes) refer to the total length of sleeve - the vertical line on the left side gives several measurements = total length of piece, then from bottom to beg of armhole, height of armhole and lenght from armhole to bottom edge. Happy crocheting!

Dear Lisa, you will find a measurement chart at the bottom of the pattern, this gives measurements in cm taken flat from side to side. Compare these to a similar garment you like the shape to find the matching size. Your request has been forwarded, inbetween you are welcome to request help from your Drops store. Happy crocheting!
