Round 10 ends with a slip stitch to beginning of round, but from row 11 on, there is no slip stitch tp beginning of round. Does this mean we arwe suposed to be working it as a spiral now, rather than in discreet rounds? If so, then the bind off round starting with the 34 chain (XL size) rather than a treble makes sense, but when you get to the end of that round, the stitch count is off by 1. But if still working in discreet rounds, the 34 chain without treble start makes no sense.

Dear Mrs Anderson, see Crochet info at the beginning of the pattern: replace each double treble at the beginning of each round with 4 chains, and finish each round with a slip stitch in the 4th chain from the beg of the round. On round 14, crochet first 4 chains, then the 34 chains for armhole, continue round as explained and end with a slip stitch in the 4th chain at the beg of the round. Happy crocheting!

Dear Cindy, do not count the first 4 chains as first stitch at the beg of round 14, that way, you still start with 4 chains, and end with 192 st, on next round, you work over the 34 chains, counting again the first 4 chains as 1st stitch. Hope this will help, happy crocheting!

Dear Stephanie, the 30 chains are for the armhole, you then continue pattern with (2 ch, 3 tr in the next tr) so that the pattern match around on this round and on next round. Happy crocheting!

Dear Mrs Vann, on 13th round you will create armholes skipping sts and chaining 30 chains a total of 2 times, ie skip (1 tr, 3 chains) a total of 7 times = 7 trebles will be skipped, chain 30 and continue with 3 tr in next tr, then work *2 ch, 3 tr in next tr* a total of 15 times then repeat armhole: chain 30 and skip the next (1 tr, 3 ch x 7 = 7 tr) and continue with 3 tr in next tr, then (2 ch, 3 tr in next tr) to the end of round. Hei Pernilla.

Dear Janice, at the beg of round shaping armholes, remember to replace 1st tr at the beg of round with 4 ch, then crochet the chain stitches for armhole as explained. After round 15 has been worked, work round 16 as explained under "circle". Repeat then round 14, 15 and 16 as before, the number of sts will increase by and by and circle will be always larger. Bedankt alvast voor het antwoord
04.04.2017 kl. 23:09:DROPS Design answered:
Hoi Sandra, Je slaat inderdaad 1,5 a 2 cm over.

Dear Mrs Mason, you have to start row 14 with 4 ch, then crochet 34 ch for 1st armhole, and continue row 14 until end of row, sl st in the 4th ch from beg of round. Happy crocheting!

Dear Kath, the 6,5 cm applies to the height of 3 rows worked in circle, the 20 cm after row 5 are taken in diameter. Happy crocheting!

I'm finding exactly the same as Kimberly, using a 6mm hook my first attempt was around 8.5cm at round 3, only by using a 4mm hook could I get 6.5cm, but at round 5 the circle only measured 13.5cm, this was way to small to start making the sleeves so I undid it all and started again. I'm now using a 5mm hook and managed 18cm at round 5 so I'm going to carry on given that most jackets I've made have been too big for me anyway!

Dear Kath, when checking tension, 3 rows in circle should measure 6,5 cm (= only 3 rows in height), after 5th row, circle should be 20 cm in diameter (= across middle of circle). Happy crocheting!

I have just started 99-3. In the gauge it calls for 6.5 centimeters after round 3. Then 2 rows later it calls for 20 centimeters. That is an increase of 13.5 centimeters in 2 rounds. The math doesn't add up. To get the 6.5cm for the first three rounds the triple crochets need to be about 1.5 cm tall. But to get to 20 cm in two more rounds the triple crochets in those rounds need to be closer to 3cm tall. Should I just use the gauge at round 5 and forget the measurement for round 3?
18.02.2017 kl. 20:27:DROPS Design answered:
Dear Mrs Clarke, 3 rows in the circle should measure 6,5 cm, but then after 5 th round you should have 20 cm in diameter (= across the circle). Happy crocheting!

Dear Mrs Contreras, in size XL, you crochet on round 14 34 ch 2 times for both armholes (work other sts as stated), then on round 15 you crochet 1 tr, 3 ch a total of 11 timess in each of the 34 ch, and as stated under all sts on round. Happy crocheting!

Dear Mrs Contreras, on round 15, you will crochet in both 34-ch-spaces: *1 tr, 3 ch*, repeat from *-* a total of 11 times and work in sts from round 14, ie over tr between spaces for armhole: 1 tr, *3 ch, skip over 2 tr, 1 tr in the next tr*, finish with a tr in the last tr. ie you will get around: 1 tr in tr from previous round/in chain for armhole + 3 ch (over 2 tr from previous round). Dear Mrs Contreras, these 34 chains are worked to create a hole for sleeve, at the same time, skip (3tr, 2 ch) a total of 8 times and continue as before. At the end of the round, you will have 2 holes where you will then work sleeves from. Happy crocheting!

Dear Donna, on row 14 in size XL, start round with 4 ch as before (= 1st st), then create armholes crocheting chains (34 ch in your size) + skipping 8 x (3 sts+ 2 ch) = this will create a hole for sleeve, work as stated and make 2nd armhole as before (crochet 34 ch and skip again same number of sts as before. Finish round with 1 sl st in 4th ch of beg of round. On next round, work in pattern in chains for armholes as in sts m previous round. Happy crocheting!

Dear Mrs Keller, repeating these rounds, you will automatically increase number of sts and circle will be always larger. Work each of these rounds as stated (1 dtr in each dtr and 1 dtr in eeach ch-loop every time you work round 14, etc..). Happy crocheting!

Dear Naunnie, at the end of round 14 you have a total of 256 tr. On round 15, you work 1 tr in the first tr, *3 ch, skip 2 tr, 1 tr in the next tr*, repeat from *-* to the end of round, so that you will have only 86 tr (you skip 2 tr and make 3 ch) with 3 ch betwean each tr. Happy crocheting!

Hoi Diana.

Dear Mrs Sutherland, distribute 30 dtr evenly each side of armhole (30 dtr along circle before armhole + 30 dtr in the ch worked for armhole) to get a total of 60 dtr. Happy crocheting!

Dear Mrs Sutherland, to make armholes in size XL, work circle until round 13, on next round, start with 3 ch, then 34 ch, skip (3 dtr and 2 ch) a total of 8 times (UK-English terminology) (= 1st armhole), work *1 dtr in each of the next 3 dtr, 1 dtr in the next ch-loop*, repeat from *-* a total of 16 times, then shape 2nd armhole as follows: 34 ch, skip over (3 dtr and 2 ch) a total of 8 times (= 2nd armhole), then work *1 dtr in each of the next dtr, 1 dtr in the next ch-loop*, repeat from *-* until end of round - join with 1 sl st in 3rd ch from beg of round. Dear Mrs Murray, after you have worked row 16, you continue repeating rows 14, 15 and 16 but with increases so that you will continue to inc number of sts at the same time. If there is 34 stitches, how do I get it down to 11? Do I just try and turn 34 stitches into 11 any way that I can by skipping a certain amount of stitches? Like every 3? Dear Mrs Murray, you crochet in the 34 ch-loop (1 tr, 3 ch) a total of 11 times (sts will then find their place in the loop) or you can then skip ch evenly. You will have then a total of 11 times (1tr + 1 3-ch-loop) above each armhole. Happy crocheting!

Gr. Tine

Takk for fine oppskrifter.

When you repeat round 14, 15 and 16 with inc. you will not end up with the same number that you had originally working these rounds. You are inc, and are supposed to get more and more sts. You should follow the same way of inc as it's done on round 14,15 and 16, so it's only refering to that.
