I am nearing 35 1/2 inches of knitting. The instructions say to stop when the last row of the repetition remains. Does this mean to knit the last row of the pattern stitch (row31)and then instead of purling the last row (row 32) from the wrong side…to instead knit one row from the wrong side? Thank you for your help.

Dear Gail, yes, exactly. After the 31st row, knit one rpw from the wrong sode. This will create a rib in the middel, however, if yo would prefer the scarf without the ribbing, you can purl the stitches as well. The two half will be grafted (sewn up with a kitchener stitch) later. Happy Knitting!

Hello! I am knitting pattern 146-26 in Drops Big Merino. I am now ready to join my second ball of yarn. What is the best way to join Big Merino? Is one method preferred over another since the yarn is so soft? Thank you! I look forward to your advice.

Dear Mrs Thorpe, not sure there is any preferred method, maybe try your usual ones, the russian join or ask other knitters in our Workshop. Happy knitting!

DROPS design: Pattern no mb-004....Alessia lacy scarf I am unable to follow the pattern diagram. Is it possible to send me a written pattern please. Thank you.

unfortunately we cannot give you a written out pattern, not only because our patterns are available at a number of languages, but also, because we believe that when one uses a pattern s/he can see not only the very next step, the very next stitch but also how the stitches in a row, and how rows relate to each other. We do have a lesson on how to follow a diagram here, and if you still find it difficult, you can always ask for help in person, or over the phone in the store where you bought your DROPS yarn from. Happy Knitting!
